If Max survives the first lap, and doesnt suffer a mechanical. He’s going to win, his long run race pace was insane compared to the others. RB opted for a higher downforce setup to help with tire life.

Surely it just forces everyone onto a 2-stop, which limits the variety in strategy options. Ferrari find themselves in an awkward position where they have one super quick but unreliable driver who can be dominant one race and then crash out of the next 5, and one super consistent driver who won't win races very often but will always finish and usually in the top 4 or 5.

@06:05 I really feel for rookies this refresh as unlike in the past when a driver could get basically unlimited mileage in a car, now they basically get 2x tests before the season and then thrown to the wolves and people treat it the same they did with rookies of years passed, add in we see with Mercedes and Alpine how badly their simulations line up with the real cars and I think it's not realistic to measure a rookies potential in the same way they used to.
