We brought some of the engineers from Shopify's Ruby & Rails Infrastructure team into the studio to talk about what they think about Rails, why they're invested in this community, and what we're looking forward to for the future of this community.
We love Ruby! It's the foundational technology behind our success. Shopify is built on Ruby on Rails, and with over 2.8 million lines of Ruby code, we have the oldest and largest Rails codebase in the world powering our core monolith. Our Ruby Infrastructure Team actively contributes to the platform to make Ruby fast, scalable, safe, and perform better for developers globally. We're committed to the future of Ruby as a language.
