Billy Connolly was camping in Norway, freezing cold temps, he was told don't go to bed fully dressed, it will make colder, get in your sleeping bag naked, he said, in the morning he couldn't believe how warm he was all night, I have tried it myself and it's true.

I've had army pals tell me this too, but I understand that's with artic rated sleeping bags. If you've just got standard bags, layering can help. I often use a single bed quilt cover inside my three seasons bag

Same. I was military man and we used to exercise all year round, our slepping bags were SO WARM but best when you slept in your unter-crackers 😂... Even better was to put your next day's clothes in the bag with you, then when you wake up you're putting on warm clothes.

It’s true, often wearing less keeps you warmer as the air around you within the sleeping bag heats up and keeps you warm. Most important is to have good insulation between you and the ground. Having slept in the Ice Hotel in Sweden (-5C in the rooms and bed is made of ice) thermal base layer and hat kept me toasty all night. 🤟🏼❤

Camping near the lake is going to be colder since the cold air settles into the lower areas. this is why it gets colder in the morning and why fog forms over the lake in the morning. For a warmer nights sleep, stay away from the water, also since there is probably more moisture in the ground though it may seem dry, and you lose a lot of body heat into the cold ground underneath. Put your extra clothes under you for insulation will accomplish more than wearing it to stay warmer. The wild animals have learned these lessons, so they bed down at night away from the water, halfway; up a slope, not at the top, and where there is fresh dry bedding every night!

Ah yes, gotta love the rabbit/kangaroo poo outside the tent in the morning. 🤣 How easy was that border crossing after what you've been through! Nice! It's a shame that you didn't get to see some of the more famous places in Bulgaria that I've seen in other bike traveller's photos. Bulgaria seems to be a very popular spot to ride through. But, Greece is also supposed to have awesome riding and it looked really nice riding along the edge of the Mediterranean. That aqueduct is awesome! Wow! Yet another peaceful place to camp. The beachfront looked amazing, but I bet nowhere near as quiet!

The motor homes were parking not camping. They might well have had a curfew after which they had to leave but in many places they are tolerated if they don’t put down stabilisers, use external waste water containers or put out their awnings, camping chairs or tables.

In Greece, unfortunately, free camping is prohibited, we do free camping, but without causing trouble, fortunately there are many places where you can camp, we just don't go near residential areas. I hope you had a good time in my country if you come again send me to show you around the most famous part of Greece Halkidiki great place for motorcycle rides and has many campsites.

Guys you amaze me again. Nothing better than having a breakfast and coffe at sunrise. Btw the bread is called "gevrek" in Bulgaria too. Maybe you should not stay that close to the water to avoid damp and mould? Do not worry about the efbet-it is a gamble thing but they have a good advertisement everywhere in the country.
