Our Saviour Lutheran Church Bell Tower Tour

Join us on a tour of Our Saviour's bell tower, which houses 18 bells. Learn some of the history of the church, see its beautiful architecture, and enjoy the view of Baltimore from the top of the tower. Learn more about Our Saviour at oursaviourbaltimore.org.
At the time of their dedication in 1934, a booklet describing the bells and the dedication events was published by the congregation. The poem "Message of the Chimes" was included in that booklet.

I grew up living next to Rev. Steimke. He loved the Church, the congregation and those bells. On the day of the City College pep Rally for the City Poly football game, He and later Pastor Ernest Smith would play the City College Alma Mater " City Forever " on the bells as the student body "flowed " down the long stairway to 33rd. Street. As a teenager in the Walther League, we climbed to the bells quite a few times. The large bell on the top of the tower was a 'tolling bell " as we were told by Pastor Steimke. Thanks for a truly memorable video
