Life is too short to judge someone. I have family members who are gay and lesbian, and I love them so much! They have both been married to their partners for years, and their partners are family to me as well and I love them!

Agree. It saddens me when I think of a person I knew who was gay and his family never accepted it. He died feeling a lot of shame for having been gay, his family making him pray to God for forgiveness on his death bed so he can get into heaven. So shocking. He has non gay friends like myself who accepted him for what he was, and he was a lovely kind human being. He was a god father to my son. God does not judge you for being straight or gay, but is more interested in what is in ones heart and soul.

Thank you for your words about leaving a marriage if you’re unhappy. I’ve carried around a lot of guilt for leaving my narcissistic husband of 18 years because of the children. I kept asking myself, “If everyone else is happy, what does it matter if you if you’re not?” It was a hard decision but knowing I will never have to wake up in the same house as him again is a huge relief. Hearing your words today helped me feel less guilt. Not everyone feels that way. I had several “friends” comment that I should have stuck it out for the kids. We’re not friends anymore.

I'm one of those people who doesn't judge same sexs relationship , I think that the deepest love is to Love someone's Soul and When My 37 year old daughter dated a woman for 5 years and I never made a big deal about it and I'm a Christian but, My relationship with God is strong and you be honest I just wanted my daughter happy so I don't care about what others think as Long as we are happy that's all I care about. Leah, I love that you adopted your beautiful daughter! My brother and I are both adopted! What a blessing! My advice is make sure the adoption agency has given you any and all medical information on the birth parents! I did and it actually saved my life! Every woman in my birth family died from breast cancer. I’m BRCA1+ and knowing that information led me to mammograms twice a year plus taking Tamoxifen. I was diagnosed with DCIS and had surgery in November 2023. I’m now cancer free! They got clear margins and no chemotherapy or radiation was required!

I divorced my husband in 1996 because I was miserable in my marriage and in 2024 he continues to stalk me. I’m living with my dad now knowing I’m safe here. I had the hope we could have remained friends but obviously that didn’t happen. My ex husband shows up places that I’m at as well as places that my brother and his family are. They don’t deserve to be stalked either. It’s so scary!

I walked away from 2 marriages with nothing (and not wanting anything, just OUT). I have reinvented myself; too many times to count and always landed on my feet financially. However, 6 years later, having left my second marriage-I am genuinely struggling to put myself out there to date or enter into another relationship. I have zero desire to put the effort in, which scares me; for the first time in my life, I have been single for this long, as I was always a relationship hopper. The longest I was without a relationship was 3 months prior. I enjoy ya'lls podcast.

He is our adversary and he is a deceiver. Leah and Sandy, have you considered whether your flesh has overcome you and/ or you are being deceived? Have you considered that God is love and He sets the standards- not us, a community, or our feelings? A standard set by an all wise and perfect creator can and has been perverted by those who rebel against His perfect will. His will is in Scripture and the whole Bible is given to us to consider and His Holy Spirit teaches us. (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Have you considered that you may be in rebellion? No one lives well while in rebellion to the loving God of Jesus Christ.

Thanks so much for this video! My son and his husband have just celebrated 10 years together and I am so grateful! And proud! And happy ! He grew up in the 80’s and had to fluids in hat he was gay and I remember when he told me, more like how he did. 🤣😂 he had and still has such great friends that on valentines evening he and his partner (who I had no idea existed) and 4/5 of his best friends came over. I heard a knock at the door and was shocked to see all these guys pile into my living room and I was like hello boys! They were all like my kids and all called me mom 😂 and my son said I want you to meet someone special. And his friends were all standing around him watching my reaction, there to support ( or defend him🤣😂🤣) and this young man steps to the front and stands next to my son and sticks his hand out to shake mine and says Hi, he m atom and I love your son”. And there was a quiet that came over the room as his friends all stared at me waiting to see my reaction and I stood up and grabbed Toms hand in both mine and said Hi Tom I’m so happy to meet you” and all the sudden his friends all cheered and said SEE WE TOOD YOU SHE’D BE OK WITH YOU GUYS! I could see the fear disappear from my sons face and relief and tears fill it and he said I love you mom, so many people we know have killed or tried to kill themselves after coming out to their parent(s) or been kicked out by them but I love him and he’s worth the risk so thank you for being who you are mom” and I whispered to his friends, thank you for support him! It was the hardest thing he had to do and as a teenager even worse. He opened my eyes to the tragedy and fights teen gays go through and later n Denver where we moved to they helped me find support /housing/counseling/ministry etc for homeless gay youths as there is one of the highest gay youth homelessness rate in the country! God loves everyone! He makes us all in His image and nothing should prevent His children from being loved on earth! Someone once said he hat being gay is against the Bible , a sin . I said well touching pig skin is a sin yet millions watch/play football everyday and God doesn’t strike them down right?!
