Thank you for your words about leaving a marriage if you’re unhappy. I’ve carried around a lot of guilt for leaving my narcissistic husband of 18 years because of the children. I kept asking myself, “If everyone else is happy, what does it matter if you if you’re not?” It was a hard decision but knowing I will never have to wake up in the same house as him again is a huge relief. Hearing your words today helped me feel less guilt. Not everyone feels that way. I had several “friends” comment that I should have stuck it out for the kids. We’re not friends anymore.

I'm one of those people who doesn't judge same sexs relationship , I think that the deepest love is to Love someone's Soul and When My 37 year old daughter dated a woman for 5 years and I never made a big deal about it and I'm a Christian but, My relationship with God is strong and you be honest I just wanted my daughter happy so I don't care about what others think as Long as we are happy that's all I care about. You both make so much sense in everything you say about forming a personal relationship with God. God is love. He is not a punishing God, He is all merciful & forgiving. He wants us to come to Him. Listen to no one. Follow the Spirit that moves you closer to God. And I laughed out loud when you said Leah "reads only what is Red" in the Bible. I do the same because that is Jesus speaking to us. My wife and I met through our pastors at church. We are very blessed to be part of a Christian community that welcomes ALL people - Because we believe God love us all. We have a very blessed marriage with great friends who care and love us. As a gay couple we live in faith, we serve the community we live a good life. We love God and that's that! I have not met Leah, but my pastor at my church knew her when he was at the same church in Orange County. I'd seen a Facebook post about my pastor and Leah and I became a FB friend. So happy to see you two reaching out with your stories/ story. No matter where you come from the lifestyle is challenging but it’s the only right thing if it calls. I think so many have tried any other path until one day, when we must say ok, that’s it, I’m going to be me. Whatever god made me. I remember the day of the week and the color of the carpet when I finally stopped fighting who I was. A clear, honest path of profession and personal success followed. I walked away from 2 marriages with nothing (and not wanting anything, just OUT). I have reinvented myself; too many times to count and always landed on my feet financially. However, 6 years later, having left my second marriage-I am genuinely struggling to put myself out there to date or enter into another relationship. I have zero desire to put the effort in, which scares me; for the first time in my life, I have been single for this long, as I was always a relationship hopper. The longest I was without a relationship was 3 months prior. I enjoy ya'lls podcast.

The Bible says the heart of man is desperately wicked. Who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9-10)The Bible also says the enemy (Satan) comes to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). He is our adversary and he is a deceiver. Leah and Sandy, have you considered whether your flesh has overcome you and/ or you are being deceived? Have you considered that God is love and He sets the standards- not us, a community, or our feelings? A standard set by an all wise and perfect creator can and has been perverted by those who rebel against His perfect will. His will is in Scripture and the whole Bible is given to us to consider and His Holy Spirit teaches us. (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Have you considered that you may be in rebellion? No one lives well while in rebellion to the loving God of Jesus Christ.

Thanks so much for this video! My son and his husband have just celebrated 10 years together and I am so grateful! And proud! And happy ! He grew up in the 80’s and had to fluids in hat he was gay and I remember when he told me, more like how he did. 🤣😂 he had and still has such great friends that on valentines evening he and his partner (who I had no idea existed) and 4/5 of his best friends came over. I heard a knock at the door and was shocked to see all these guys pile into my living room and I was like hello boys! They were all like my kids and all called me mom 😂 and my son said I want you to meet someone special. And his friends were all standing around him watching my reaction, there to support ( or defend him🤣😂🤣) and this young man steps to the front and stands next to my son and sticks his hand out to shake mine and says Hi, he m atom and I love your son”. And there was a quiet that came over the room as his friends all stared at me waiting to see my reaction and I stood up and grabbed Toms hand in both mine and said Hi Tom I’m so happy to meet you” and all the sudden his friends all cheered and said SEE WE TOOD YOU SHE’D BE OK WITH YOU GUYS! I could see the fear disappear from my sons face and relief and tears fill it and he said I love you mom, so many people we know have killed or tried to kill themselves after coming out to their parent(s) or been kicked out by them but I love him and he’s worth the risk so thank you for being who you are mom” and I whispered to his friends, thank you for support him! It was the hardest thing he had to do and as a teenager even worse. He opened my eyes to the tragedy and fights teen gays go through and later n Denver where we moved to they helped me find support /housing/counseling/ministry etc for homeless gay youths as there is one of the highest gay youth homelessness rate in the country! God loves everyone! He makes us all in His image and nothing should prevent His children from being loved on earth! Someone once said he hat being gay is against the Bible , a sin . I said well touching pig skin is a sin yet millions watch/play football everyday and God doesn’t strike them down right?!
