Had to choose between the CX-30 turbo and the 3 turbo in November. Their usable interior space is nearly identical. I really liked the ride height of the CX-30, though it had notably more body roll when thrown in the corners and thats where this platform shines. Power rear was also really nice. I also like the shape and window profiles of the CX-30, prefering style (and it has a solid 360). Still, the 3 has five and a half inches of clearance which isn't bad. Also the 3 hatchback looks incredible. In the end the plastic cladding all along the CX-30 was the deciding factor. The 3 just looks more premium and clean, especially because more metal means more soul crystal red. The 3 feels like an entry level luxury car through and through. Either way the outside of the body roll and a smidge of weight, both the 3 and the CX-30 had the effortlessness and smoothness with its power train to feel luxury. The transmission will let you down if you want a hot hatch, it's just not prioritizing 0-60, it shifts around 55. But when you're going already or you're able to be a bit predictive, it gives you a lot and pretty quickly. Inside the 3 at 1800 miles now it's still very quiet and the Bose is fantastic.

I test drove both a CX-30 and CX-5, went with the latter for more rear space. But both models are so quiet and smooth. At idle, I’ve forgotten the engine Is on! And for those who need to finance, Mazda has some great incentives and low interest rates.

i drove a CX-30 and a CX-5, I felt the handling in the cx-30 was WAY better, the cx-30 felt like a mild sports car and the cx-5 definitely had that slow suv handling. two completely different driving experiences to be honest. Decided to stick with the turbo 30

Great informational video. I have a 2021 CX-30 Premium, but the style is sportier than the CX-5, which is a big plus for me.

Would love to buy this car, however, went to the dealership and every car that has this package of the turbo engine has the poop brown accent on the inside! Why do they think everybody likes poop brown interior nice car nice engine, beautiful seats with an trim by dog poop brownI just don’t get it. You have no choice but to buy this color.
