Everything Hollywood touches turns to shit nowadays. Even the Sopranos movie was turned into some nonsense about race riots making a mockery of Italian culture and acting like black gangsters are victims while Italian gangsters were just greedy women beating hypocrites. I don’t glorify the mafia. I’ve seen firsthand what it turned into but wokeness will just destroy any sibilance of a real good gangster movie this could turn into.

Wow, how powerful a moment was the ending to this episode. Sammy, staring into space, choking up, saying... 'Toddo, I can see his face....'. A movie needs to be made based on this podcast, with Sammy in control of how it's made. No bullshit to make it more 'Hollywood', no license for whoever would produce it to be artistic. Just the nuts and bolts, bare, honest, following Sammys words to a T. I love listening to, and watching Sammys videos. Everything about them is amazing. For those 20 to 30 mins, I'm not chilling out laying on my bed, sitting on the bus with my earphones in. I'm there, in BensonHurst Brooklyn, or New York, standing next to Sammy. Totally immersed in the story. The only downside is....... the end of the episodes. You just want more! Keep up the great work Sammy, and your team. I listen to A LOT of Cosa Nostra stuff, but this....... nothing comes close. I also have a 9 year old Daughter, and one night while I was watching a video on KZbin. I seen her out of the corner of my eye, sat still, tears in her eyes, engrossed in the episode I was watching. She was upset when she seen Sammy choking in the video! Some might say that I shouldn't be letting a 9 year old girl watch this type of stuff. Well, I do, and she loves it!!!! So much so that whenever we can, often at the end of the night when everyone else is in bed, we will chill out on the couch and watch a few Sammy vids.

I love the way they ended this. The director (James Carroll) is doing a fantastic job of setting up the background. The music...the studio where Sammy sits and tells the stories....the pacing of each episode. All of it is first-rate. I'm not on Patreon so I have to wait until Fridays for each episode. But I'm used to that kind of anticipation due to being a fan of shows like "The Sopranos", "Boardwalk Empire", "The Wire", "Game of Thrones" and so on and so. But this is obviously different due to obvious reasons. But it is similar in that you are always left wanting more and having that feeling of anxiety that comes with a well told cliffhanger. Kudos to all the folks involved with the presentation. I don't think anyone has ever done what they're doing here. This is groundbreaking and, for my money, the best Cosa Nostra channel on KZbin by far. Bravissimo! Cent'anni!!

I think Dicicco was making a move for the family boss and that is the reason he agrees to take out paul. He did not want the heat from killing a mafia boss. He wanted Gotti to take the heat, then later eliminate him. Other bosses would have thought good of him after killing Gotti. But he waited too long and accidentally got killed.
@cgmoran912 жыл бұрын
It does make you wonder if Dicicco had lived how different things would have been. Maybe a 2nd Gambino boss gets taken out.
@EE-md2lr2 жыл бұрын
I believe that what was Dicicco was trying to do, get rid of Paul, put John in. Give Gotti enough rope and wait for him to hang himself and get rid of him once the other families call for John to get sacked. Step in as the new boss and put Sammy as his underboss. By then John would've taken the brunt of the blame and heat for killing a boss and Dicicco could come in and fix everything and look like a hero in the eyes of the other families. it was actually a really good power play, but he didn't take into consideration of Chin wanting to kill John and Sammy in which he would get killed by accident. But it does make you wonder how things would've gone if Frankie was able to follow through with the other half of his plan.

All of these stories are insanely entertaining. The heart-shaped bed and silk jammies part was hilarious. Also, +1000 for "He had this little bitchass apartment - or whatever you wanna call that. Place where he picked up broads. Playboy's apartment."

Entertaining, but most of his stories are bull, no pun intended.

I know, even in the middle of a deadly serious situation, he somehow finds something hilarious to toss in the middle of a high tension time! Brilliant! He's right though, could you imagine the headlines and articles that would have been written up if the Feds or cops found them in THAT bedroom on the same bed? Oh boy, the pure humiliation, they never would have lived it down. Sammy's too fucking smart for that nonsense!
