I'm most excited for Tombstone's return. All three of those fights sound amazing. The rematch of what Ray described as the best fight of Re-Mars 2 when he faces Hypershock. The giant horizontal on giant horizontal fight against Valkyrie. And Orbitron, who is very similar to Tombstone's first ever opponent Counter Revolution. Traves T vs Rusty should be a really interesting fight. And then Magnitude vs WD, which I could honestly see being the biggest upset of the event. And finally, Big Dill vs Claw Viper, two great control bots from the Northwest. Both are speedy and well-driven and could produce an absolute classic. It's also just really cool to see new Battlebots content. NHRL is amazing, but it's still not quite the same.

Which Face-offs fight am I most excited for? Valkyrie Vs Tombstone! How could it not? It's maybe the two best Horizontals going at it, not to mention 2 horizontals that have won the Most Destructive Award. Every time ANY 2 heavyweight horizontals face each other it's a shower of sparks shrapnel and a grand ol' time, I'm SO excited for Tombstone Vs Valkyrie.

You have quickly become one of my favorite teams just how authentic, silly, and passionate you guys are. Hyped to see Traves T, Calypso and the new Rusty (FINALLY) get some fights in, but the rookie I'm most excited for is Manta. That thing is an absolute beast and I can't wait to see it run a train on a proper tournament bracket. Beyond that, Witch Doctor vs Magnitude and the Tombstone vs Hypershock rematch are going to be Grade-A slugfests.

Group A of the Faceoffs is done on Sunday. It will be later in the year when they post them on KZbin. They were awesome. I definitely recommend finding your favorite team and going for the weekend, if at all possible. Skorpios is my favorite team, so my wife and I went out there to watch Skorpios.

Of course I'm looking forward to Skorpios fight, having seen its latest developments on this very video blog. I'm looking forward to seeing Malice, because my name is David and being pro Malice seems like a contractual obligation. I'm looking forward to seeing Manta because of the hype. I'm looking forward to seeing Taco Tuesday because I've been following that bot ever since Carter Hurd posted the design video for the original antweight. That bot has some ideas going into it and is not just a silly meme bot. And I'm looking forward to Slammo!, because I know team member Jason Rogers from having competed in the southeast. I'm actually looking forward to everything.

Did they turn Battle Bots into an event more like Midevel Times? Or is Discovery and the BIG NUT is still a thing with competition?

Time Warner acquired Discovery (the company that distributed the Battlebots TV show) a while back and that generated a lot of turbulence in the company, while that is getting figured out (a bunch of people who originally pushed Battlebots are no longer there) the Championship and Giant Nut is on hold, so that's why they're making Face Offs basically bypassing Discovery so they can at least use the giant arena they have permanently setup now. Hopefully it will return in not too long.
