The place I have been getting supplies has three versions of Hallertau: Hallertau Mittelfrüh Hallertau Blanc Hallertauer Mittelfruher One is from US, YCH (in my freezer), one is from Germany(ordered), and the Blanc version is "A daughter of Cascade released in 2012 and bred specifically to answer the needs of American craft beer styles". I hope they send me the version from Germany. They will sometimes substitute with YCH, which I already have some of. I am planning to do a version of German Pilsner. My supplier is out of some very popular hops you have suggested here and in this series. Thank you for doing these videos and your suggestions. I am jumping from extract to all grain malt and not really planning to follow the guidelines exactly.

I'm a big fan of Bramling Cross, it adds a bramble fruit and spice flavour that elevates the coffee and chocolate you want from a Stout.

I’ve used Barbe Rouge as a flavor and aroma hop in a rye mild recipe and loved the results. I also used a Kveik yeast on that one. The yeast character and hops really worked together to highlight the berry character.

Another hop that I like to use with Saaz is Perle

I’m a HUGE fan of Perle. I like making Belgian beers at home since you don’t see them in the wild much from local brewers. And I almost always find a way to incorporate Perle into the recipe. It’s amazing.

We brew a nice Czech Pilsner with only Saaz. Hallertau mittelfru is one I love to use in a couple different Pilsners. I haven’t tried the other 2, will have to give them a try! Thanks for the education!

Always love the content, you can never have enough education or information about beer and what goes into it. Would love to see a video sometime soon about progress in Saratoga, I don't expect you've broken ground yet, but I would think that would be happening sometime early spring?

A Baltic Porter made exclusively with Saaz is a real treat

You don’t see Barbe Rouge in beers much. Something of which I’ll keep an eye out! Not easy to get as a home brewer either.
