Number one place I was told NOT to move to when coming to NC was Durham.

Where is that lovely woodsy trail where you're walking?

This is at Laurel Hills park in Raleigh! It also has a great playground not seen in this video(Sassafrass playground)

Please share where you are in your videos. You always pick some scenic trails or interesting city streets and I often wonder where you are.

Does it flood around there??

It can! It's not much different than most other places, honestly. FEMA flood maps are a great resource to see which areas are prone to flooding.

I personally feel the places you picked were too costly for the average home buyer. What I call upper class cities. My first choice is Garner. My home is reasonably priced, 15 minutes from Downtown Raleigh, and only 30 minutes from the Airport, and I40 goes right past Garner, which puts you at the Beach in no time. Not to mention lots, of shopping and convenience. It’s a nice quiet community compared to Raleigh and Durham. Durham in my opinion is too high in the crime category. We all have our own opinions. After living in Garner for 12 years now, I wouldn’t consider moving to another place in NC.

Thanks for sharing! Garner is definitely a more affordable option around the triangle with a median sales price of 420,000 for a single family home in 2024!

Durham houses on top of each other. Plus a trashy RT.1 feel to it. It's nickname is Dirty Durham.
