I Bar -b- Que ribs are the best I've ever had. The first place we go when returning to Florida each winter. Need to try Yahala Bakery near Lake Harris

If you two ever visit Sarasota try the Der Dutchman restaurant. It’s an Amish restaurant and very good food. 😎

@@thealtemlife I'm still here in Ohio. Amish/Mennonite country starts not very far from here. I have an old friend in Polk City, FL.... She's also an Ohio native. She really likes the Der Dutchman in Sarasota. We have one here in "Amish country" Not sure if it's the same clan.

Hubby said he thinks you come up north when you go to Seattle. Ranch house BBQ is close to Olympia I believe. We love Greek too and Cafe Neo is good in Mill Creek (not far from us) Also in Edmonds I love Demetris Woodstone Taverna and they have tapas style to share and reg entrees. They have the best lobster bisque I have ever had and lobster rolls, lobster Benedict’s for brunch. All the food is great that I have tried. Just a few fur favrites

Based on your review, I tried ibar-b-que last night. Here was my experience: 2 Grilled chicken sandwiches with fries, 2 sodas and 2 banana puddings...with tip = $48. That is too high. The fries were soggy. The place smelled of singed cooking oil and that smell was all over my clothes and hair by the time I left. The chicken was overcooked and therefore chewy. The banana puddings tasted better than all the rest but also had a strong aftertaste of artificial vanilla flavoring. However, I have eaten at Oakwood and I'd agree that it is the best I have tried. ibar-b-que i'd put as one of the worst I've ever eaten at.

Sorry to hear that. Our experience was so much better and we loved it. However, it might not be for everyone. But, Oakwood is by far our favorite!

We agree with you about Billie Jewel & we used to live in Jacksonville. We like Sonny’s and adore their beans & their barbecue egg rolls! Oakwood is definitely our winner too! But we will be checking out the other three soon too. Can I say, Road Trip??

@@thealtemlife, well, if you wanna explore true Florida food, then going to places that aren't chain restaurants are where you wanna go. Hole-in-the-wall places and places where locals go are the places to explore. You know, "When in Rome". Also, I've watched a few of your videos and I haven't come across where you carpetbaggers are from.
