This is such a great video, very helpful. I love watching the Village Chief. We are 48/50, but I think we are going to move to The Villages in 2025. In December I was diagnosed with breast cancer so we want to move our "move to the village' plans up. We will still be working FT, but we are so excited to move there anyway. It looks like so much fun. Robyn - I'm going to keep your info and will contact you when we come down for a visit, probably in Jan 2025.

This is great information for people in similar situations, I moved here 2 years ago when I was 60 years old and do plan to work until retirement age. My plan was always to move here so when I do retire I will be completely setup and able to really enjoy The Villages to the fullest!

The retirement conundrum is Medical coverage. You can get Social Security benefit at age 62, (60 if widowed). Medicare insurance begins at age 65. So it creates a significant financial burden for the gap of 62-65. Itswhat we’re facing and why delayed. Btw employer carried Cobra coverage for first year premium is outrageous.

We agree with you on food in TV. The only place we like is The Flying Biscuit we love it! We tried several country clubs and we strike out with Havana and Nancy Lopez. We do the Hello Fresh delivered and that is awesome. We haven't ventured out of TV yet.

Smokers smoke in all the restaurants in the outdoor bars up north, especially cigars, smokers not allowed to smoke in the Villager bars down south, only on the sidewalks. Much healthier people live further south.
