Love the tiny blitz. It cast really well. In a pinch I have thrown it on a madbull on 16 lb line and really do not notice my casting distance suffering

PC-5 is one of my favorite Salmon lures in that color. 9x this year in 4 days @ 1.5-2.5hrs day. LC of the same sizing works great also. Both go through weeds very well and can be worked at end of line far longer and far better than them stupid flatfish and Flying-C everyone likes casting for 1000 casts per fish. Thing about cranking for salmon is in current you position yourself on pt and you can literally let the lure backtrack in the current and keep fishing the same grounds without having to reel back in all the way every cast or just let the lure suspend and move your rod tip from side to side covering 14-15ft of the river bottom at a time and do that for perpetuity without reeling the lure back in, basically trolling without motor trolling.

Has Jeff been fishing down in south Carolina recently? I found a micro cricket crank bait hanging from a tree last weekend? I know how he loves his little bug baits! I'll have check some these cranks out because bass are on super small herring in Clarks hill & Russell. I've been catching them on double tiny fluke rig, small spoons & underspins. I know small crank baits would do good too. I don't have any small ones

Stick with a square bill - Tiny Blitz or LC 0.5 would be good options. Super Z1 is a sick little crank too for smallmouth! I'd try a natural shad pattern and a craw pattern, or a chartreuse if the water is a little off colored.

Ben I do same thing with my cranks I try use as heavy of line I can without effecting bites or action of bait usually 17lb and I really have noticed no difference in bites or effecting fish from actually hitting the bait. Those Z1's on 17lb become a great shallow water crank u can literally use them in 3ft to 4ft water no problem grinding rocks. I almost caught my new pb on one but lost her but was due to me not the bait. please dont talk about the reazzy crank again lmao.
