How do these do in clearer water, or what patterns tend to do in clear water. I tend to shy away from cranks since I fish natural lakes with 6-10 foot of clarity, but some of those look like they could do real well, much more natural looking. I’m up in Washington state so no shad in my fisheries anyway
@thehookuptackle_usa4 жыл бұрын
Most of the Smallmouth lakes where guys crush them on these are clear. I’d probably do the deeper diving stuff for when they’re set up on that 12-15 foot depth.

How do thinner walls on a sealed bait cut down on wind resistance? The wind never even comes in contact with those honeycomb shaped ridges which are inside the bait. So they would have no effect on wind resistance. I am also curious as to what pros don't want me to know what ever the secret was. I couldn't listen to the whole video.
@GwenStefaniGuild4 жыл бұрын
Because the profile of the bait is much slimmer
@riccardocarbo24793 жыл бұрын
You're right right, thinner walls have nothing to do with wind resistance. He must have meant "thinner profile" which would have made better sense. I seriously doubt that the honeycomb pattern contributes significant strength to the walls to lessen the material needed to lighten it. It simply follows the trendy, techy design pattern you see everywhere as a marketing scheme. On a much larger bait, the savings would be more believable, but not on a thumb sized piece of plastic, no matter how toughtfully designed. Using subtleties that border into the mystery-zone have been one of the most powerful marketing tools--rememeber the pet rock? The more that people spend $20 for a bait motivates them to try it at $25. Customers drive up prices more than companies can. No thank you to $20 baits.

Not sure if thats only me but that is annoying unless that just to keep items limited like tackledirect does with some items where they let hold a lure for 30 minutes an will guarantee u that lure if say someone else buys lure but u bought it first but there was only 1 left u will obviously get it vs other guy especially when people are buying lures fast allows u chance to get it.
