I just picked up Savage Pathfinder and am completely and utterly sold on it.

I agree with 5e being easy to learn. I haven’t played the others yet. We still play a lot of 3.5 and really enjoy it. We are also 18 or older too. Ya I’m going to avoid the new 5.5 or 6e or One D&D whatever they want to call it. Nice review.

@@TableTopFamilyFun I was there once... It gets better with time.... I managed to arrange a gaming session every other weekend during the cold winter months (forgot summer months to busy for everyone). I run Savage Worlds (so much simpler) but in the Rifts Universe (for flavor). Keep the videos coming, I enjoy your content and take on things 👍

Totally agree that PF2E CRB layout is just horrible! Some of their others are as well too. Archives of Nethys helps for sure, and is free, but it's kinda sad that you have to use that for better organization. Superheroes here in this system are also very, very evident. 5E isn't much different, however, only less powerful and limiting in comparison. Both are Feat-Nuts and always-on powered....unfortunately, that lends itself to challenge-less (no death threat, no REAL challenge, in the end). DCC does indeed need a good pile of printed materials at the table and the constant need for table rolls look-ups is a definite downside. And the cost of those dice can be prohibitive as well....unless you really like dice-conversion math. The funnel, though, is super fun!

"no death threat, no REAL challenge, in the end" - That does make it a good Starter RPG ... for kids and first time players, but I hear what you're saying.
