Great video. Now I know what to ask for for my birthday and Christmas. Was slightly surprised not to see the collected poetry of Eduardo DeFilippo in there, but perhaps you were going for prose only.

Haha aw that's ☺️ I hope you get one! Im learning my japanese kanji at the moment from James W. Hesig and he teaches me how to remember stories and one of the stories i thought sounded loved in English was, "Remember this kanji of 'Wood'...and this kanji as 'Companion' (when together) make the kanji for 'Shelf' and to remember it as a mans best friend can also be a book - just like Matilda from Roahl Dahls character- and so... the 'companion of a book- is on a 'wooden shelf' - ...... haha quick Japanese lesson there but i just thought "a mans best friend can be a book" was a lovely quote, especially during this hard time. Also we honestly haven't came across the Eduardo DeFillipo poetry which is crazy shocking i know but that's something ill have to enjoy and look into for myself 👀 😃!

@@AaroneStefano A really sweet poem by DeFilippo is Tre ppiccerille. Check it out. DeFilippo's plays are also world famous, and did you know that before he died, he translated Shakespeare's The Tempest into Napoletano? I've tried to get a copy, but it's out of print and on ebay typically goes for more than 100 euros. Another book I ordered recently from Tamu Edizioni in Naples is L'orso 'nnammurato, a book of poems by Alessio Sollo. Enjoying it very much.

@@arjay9745 Wow, No i didn't know that a whole Shakespear play he translated into Neapolitan. I am from the West Midlands in England so Shakespeares town is not far- so to hear it's translated into Napoletano if any language is really cool! and yes... i will check the poem out in a second. Also i know that's the only thing - that some Neapolitan books can be expensive which is a real shame. If you was in Campania in a local Libreria, you could read some literature, but it's just a shame for people who are abroad who don't have the opportunity to have any access to Neapolitan Books. That's the reason why we did the whole translation of The Little Prince book and a few Neapolitan fairytales from Lo Cunto De Li Cunti and some Neapolitan proverbs videos from some books. 📚🤓

@@AaroneStefano Amazon lists De Filippo's translation of The Tempest at 150 euros, but it's never been available: www.amazon.it/tempesta-William-Shakespeare-traduzione-napoletano/dp/8806057014. It comes up in antiquariums every so often, but always at about that price. I was especially pleased for The Little Prince, BTW. I'd had my eye on it, but the audio version was much better for my comprehension anyway, so a special thanks for that.

Three questions about Neapolitan! 1. I've heard "aggio" pronounced aggiu and aggio (ending with the schwa sound). Is it one or the other, or both, or does it depend on dialect or context? 2. Do you make a double "b" sound in words that start with "v" after a word like "che"? Like instead of "che vvuo" and "che vvo", do you say "che bbuo" and "che bbo"? 3. In a word like "indifferentemente," how many e's are schwas? Two? Three? I think it's the first, third, and fifth, but I don't know about the first.

Ciao San Anton 😎 1. Your right, it depends on the dialect/accent of where you come from in Campania or around it. 2. Yes, exactly! It's typical of Neapolitan. 👏 3. Indifferentemente (There is only one- the final 'E') Because most Neapolitan words are pronounced with a 'Schwa' at the end. Thanks for your questions- let us know if you have any more, we are happy to help ☺️ 💙
