You both are true and real... and I love it. No man buns, bikini tops, or spotless vans that no one could ever live in. When you travel, you give the honest truth, not some glossy imagined "perfect" van view. And you love each other... you can tell. Keep it coming! You're both perfect!

Speechless! Thank you for such kind words. Your comment and sentiment is maybe the sweetest comment anyone has ever given us. If you could see the Maggie hair that never shows up on the camera you’d know for sure that we don’t strive for a perfectly clean van :-). And Lynn swears she will never again wear a bikini even though I think she would look awesome in one. Man buns haha. I don’t even know what to say about that. The mullets of this decade. :-) Sincerely, thank you for the warm hearts and smiles we have right now. I sure hope our paths cross one day soon. Much love, Owen, Lynn and Maggie.

Hey guys! Hope it’s been a good week for you. This guy we were behind actually had hoses run into his kitchen window and though the back door. He was seriously flushing every line in his rig, and by doing so he overfilled the dump for everyone and they had to have someone come in and pump it out and everyone there had to wait on this too. Such an idiot! :-). Like my grandfather always said, you just can’t fix stupid. :-) Thanks for watching and being connected with us. Makes us smile. Thank you friend for that very nice comment. :-) We’re just honored that as hard as you’re working that you’re watching our videos when you’re taking a break. The van build and the building the van is being built in is coming along great. I know you’re thinking it’s going slow but the amount of thought you’re putting into every detail is amazing. Sounds too personal, but what’s your personal record on dumping? :-) Also, I had a subscriber ask about making a Travato handicap/wheelchair accessible... what are your thoughts? Get back to work. :-)

Owen didn’t mention that the guy at the dump station had hoses running inside the camper window... I’m assuming he was flushing something. The next time we drove by the dump it was closed and I’m sure the same guy filled up the dump station. However, it was fixed later that same evening.

One of the biggest frustrations I’ve ever experienced in all these years of RV’ing. Almost everyone you meet while out there is just awesome but every now and then you meet up with someone like this. We literally parked behind him for almost 30 minutes and he didn’t even acknowledge that we were even there.
@PatrickRyan1475 жыл бұрын
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle There's always one. You should have followed him to see if he was parking up somewhere in the grounds and then gone back later on that night and pulled the release valve on his black tank so that he'd have a nice surprise in the morning :-)

Another great video. If possible, it would be helpful to match the volume of your music to the volume volume of your speech. When the video switches between the two the music can get loud. Great music selections, just a little loud. Keep up the great work.

Thanks Thomas. I wake up every morning trying to figure out the solution. I hear it myself when I watch over, especially once it’s compressed on KZbin. Sometimes I get it perfect but many times I don’t I know. Not to whine but the whole editing a long video with 3-4 video sources, music and voiceovers while on the road is daunting, especially while in a small van. I woke up this morning early to “think” about options and to see what I can do to streamline the production. On the ones that I get closer to being better balance please let me know so I can try to replicate that method. I really appreciate you being part of the journey and your honesty. It means a lot to me.

No I use a 10’ Prest-O-Fit 1-0061 Blueline 10' Ultimate Sewer Hose www.amazon.com/dp/B000BGM830/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_tFSNCbPAS94R9. The connector works as a friction connector and it works well for us. Glad to share our little bit of knowledge. Good luck. Let me know if you need any other info.

Thanks for videos! Why don't you hook up sewer at sites? Thanks.
@VANTREKKINGlifestyle5 жыл бұрын
I guess it’s just a preference. It’s so easy to get the valve (driver’s side corner) within 7-8 feet of the “hole” at most dump station areas. Not so easy when you’re at a campsite. Picnic tables, chairs, water and electric, etc. Our style of traveling now is to stay somewhere 2-3 days and that equals one dump. Now when we parked our 5th Wheel at a seasonal site we had the hose always connected with a contraption to keep the angle just right. But everything about the van is just simpler. Hope that helps. BTW, we see folks with Travato’s dump hose connected all the time. It’s just a personal preference. If we took showers more often in the T I’m betting I’d connect the hose. :-)

86 feet does not a mountain make. That's barely a "hill."
@VANTREKKINGlifestyle5 жыл бұрын
We are with you. It’s definitely not a 14er for sure. Even in NC mountain 5,000 feet standards it’s not a mountain. But in southern Florida standards where only landfills and skyscrapers rise about 20 feet, 80+ feet of a natural mound that is not man made is proudly called a mountain. I guess it’s all in your perspective. It was cool to be able to see so far 75-100 miles. In NC we are higher but just a few miles away there’s another mountain so you can’t see as far. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Have one. Even without the bikes on the rack it’s pretty useless at night. The clarity and resolution just simply sucks on the factory screen. It is usable in daylight but I can’t count on it after dark. With our Fiama bike rack the seats and top parts of the bikes blocks a lot of the view and makes it even less useful st night. I can see to backup with it during daylight non-rainy days.

I do enjoy your show but I don’t think the guy who’s flushing his black tank is a jerk. He probably had to finish the job he started. Do you think he should have let you dump and wait for you and then go back and flush his black tank because Your Highness is more important? I think you should be more tolerant and understanding of other campers. Put yourself in their shoes.
@VANTREKKINGlifestyle3 жыл бұрын
We always try to be tolerant and even supportive. But in this case the guy was there for more than an hour and ended up overflowing the dump station and shutting it down for everyone. The ranger told us he had to ask the person to stop and leave. But... you're right. We've learned to be more patient in those situations as the years have progressed. Thanks for your honest thoughts about it.
