You can buy a nice DUCT tape and reinforce your bandage plus its waterrpoof. Works for blisters, and all. I always bring a roll when I travel.

First of all, What an epic spot! The beauty of it all is it’s so natural and unspoiled. And by the way, Robert, I think if you wrap up your wound in cellophane and tape the ends, you can go swimming. I did that years ago with an injury and I was fine, just saying. 👍✌🏻

That boat ‘s noise is deafening and here I am just watching your vlog. Beautiful sceneries. There are so many undiscovered locations in the Philippines that only the locals know. And the locals mostly go where it is cheaper and most times, they bring their own snacks/food bc the mark-ups in those tourist spots are pretty high but still much cheaper compared to Western prices. I am Filipino living in San Diego and everytime I go visit the Philippines, I get myself a massage at least once every 3 days. An hour massage is about Php 1000-1200. Which is the high end massage . You could get a massage for about Php400-500. and still a very decent massage compared to here in the States. $75. Minimum for 20-30 minutes. And I do all my shopping in the Philippines to a max of what my luggage allowance will allow me, about 50 lbs/luggage x2.

Is the water in the Sugbao Lagoon salty? When I was in Bohol, some teenager went to swimming in seawater even with unhealed wounds from motorcycle accident. It’s painful he says, but salty water didn’t cause any infection, maybe maybe due to his immune system got beefed-up in that environment.

Yes it’s salt water! That’s good to know though. The nurses did advise to not go in, in case of infection if any small particles from the water were to get in!

Too bad to hear the series of unfortunate events you had in Siargao. I was really hoping you would have enjoyed the island as much i had when i was there. For a small wound yes, but I had a very deep cut, 8 stitches. When it is that deep with stitches it can get infected.
