Hello Chris and Elizabeth!! Woo hoo....glad you made it out west! Are you filming real time, as in you missed last week's Hurricane Hilary? Yes...those little tool chests with sliding drawers are awesome! I got a socket and wrench set for $100 on sale at Home Depot. And, I also got a soft tool bag for extra screw drivers, pliers, and other ancillary tools. Both of those come along in our travel trailer; and I use the heck out of it! It looks awesome there! Do you have enough elevation there that it is only in the 70s-ish degrees there? Ha...your boat looks like an awesome utility trailer! I just got back from a 2 night flight to Phoenix, and then up to Monterey CA. When I departed Monterey, it was clear and million views. Our routing took us over the John Muir Wilderness area, with Yosemite to the north and Mt Whitney to the south. TONS of backcountry stuff out there that I look forward to exploring some day! Then we crossed to the north of all of the restricted areas in Nevada, over some of the parks in UT, and then into Telluride CO. So much to see and so little time to see it (which really supports the route you two have chose!). Ok...NC Game Wardens, eh? So...here's my game warden story. I was back from a deployment. It was kind of quiet in the rear detachment as 2 of the units replaced us (I'd like to think it took 2 units to do what our 1 unit did). So, I scored some time off that was going to essentially be 2 weeks of camping. 1 week was up in Jordan Lake in NC; the next week was out at Onslow Beach campground at Camp Lejeune. At Jordan Lake, it was a bunch of friends camping. All of the boat owners in our group brought their boats. I don't own a boat.......but, I "borrowed" a zodiac and the motor from a location. If you recall on Jordan Lake, there are those highway bridges that cross over a few of the coves on Jordan Lake. I had all of our camping friends' kids with me in the zodiac. A few of the other campers with boats were in front of me. Those bridge areas are no wake zones. Well...as I putted under the bridge, on the other side was a state park ranger boat.....and he pointed for me to pull out of the way and stop. Of course, he was wanting to see flotation devices for everyone; which I had. And finally the topic came to boat registration. I was like "uhhhh...this is my unit boat....and it doesn't have a registration; we've been on a zillion rotations and the boats have just been sitting in the motor pool. So, I'm exercising it". Well....the registration thing, or lack of it, was becoming a real thing. For some reason, after I identified myself, and eventually my unit, the ranger asked me if I knew person so and so. I certainly did as he was in my unit. He used to be a park ranger....and came onto active duty not too far back. So....the tone changed. The ranger told me to have a great day. He kind of insinuated that I should enjoy the day, but park the boat eventually. I responded that since it is a holiday weekend, we're actually going to be boating all weekend. So, he gave me his contact info in the event one of his coworkers stopped us again that weekend. Yes...I really like your ebikes! We got some on a trip to Los Angeles last year; they mailed them to our house. Sadly, it was in November; which meant my riding season at 8000 feet here in Ouray was over :-( But, like you said, they are awesome; and they really open up your time schedule for the day! I am flying my boss to L.A. this coming Sunday, on 3 September. My wife and her aunt will come with. We'll head out to Palm Springs for the time that we are there. In October, I have 2.5 weeks off. My wife and I (with German Shepherd) will return to California for that time. We will be getting our condo furnished on that trip. Safe travels! DOL

The videos are about 2-3 weeks behind real life time. We were here for the hurricane but it completely missed us . It didn’t even rain here. The literal fun police come out of nowhere sometimes lol. We are not super familiar with lake Jordan but have both been there ! It’s not high enough here to escape the heat it’s gonna be 98 deg here today.

@@CandEAdventures Bleh...I wish you would have, at least, got some rain out of that storm. I'm hoping most of the roads are back up and going in Palm Springs this coming week; I'm assuming they are, with the exception of a few that had structural damage. Oh wow....98 is up there. I've found the lower 80s is about my limit of enjoying my trailer, without running the a/c. I can run the a/c for about 3-3.5 hours off of my solar batteries, but then would need to turn on the generator to get those recharged for the night. Safe travels!

Hi. Doesn't the motorcycle on the front hitch cause your truck to be illegal? or are your headlights and turn signals visible such that it is not illegal? Reason I ask is that I want to do a similar setup with my truck camper, but I don't yet know the legal details of it.

10-4 ! We are still figuring the mail situation out. The campground we live at doesn’t currently receive mail and the closest P.O. Box is about 40 min drive away lol. We are working on a solution though!!

I followed your lead and purchased a Northstar camper! It's a 2003 850SC, it was a 6-1/2 foot version and I turned it into an 8 foot version to fit my 2014 Ram 2500! It is in repair mode now but I really like it so far!

We have zero insurance lol. It’s too expensive. We try to exercise and eat healthy (ish) and not take any undue risks . There is always a risk vs rewards assessment being made lol.

Currently we are in charge of cleaning out toilets and running the cash register and doing landscaping at a beach access area here . We would love to look for gold ! We have looked at panning and mini portable dredges for a while now!

We live in a camper , we have no house . We are not on vacation. We work 50-60 hours a week at jobs and film KZbin on top of it. The way we live is not fun lol it’s work.
