Just a tip: A heated knife makes the wax "lid" removal faster. It's all so interesting. The kitchen looks amazing. Crusoe is absolutely adorable. I too had a child who preferred to run around without clothes. It's very freeing.

Great to see Crusoe absorbing beekeeping like a sponge and you too Tara. As a Kiwi beekeeper I remember when I started out how exciting it was to discover a whole new world. You are beginning beekeeping in exactly the right way with an experienced beek to teach you the basics and who is patient while you gain in confidence. You will become obsessed and after 10 years I still learn something new every time I am with the bees. Now that John is an accomplished joiner, you can persuade him to build your hiveware for you.

I was so engrossed in this epispde, I just wasn't ready for it to end! Tara and John you are blessed by such wonderfully patient and kind Portugese people, it restores faith in the goodness of humanity. Crusoe is in so many ways mature for his age as he was in this episode, and also able to be a healthy "normal" 3 year old. I loved how he opened his arms at the hives as though embracing them all, he is exceptionally brave! Little Sawyer is so delightful, I love watching him experiencing life. You are right to shield him from exposure. John, you are so self effacing, and your talents and skills delightful. Thank you for including the dry radiator, it was a wake up call for me- I nearly always check the gas tank, but never think of the radiator! Now for certain I will !! If you try building one box and it goes well, Keep going. Building a kitchen is pretty strait forward but does require some patience and knowledge of the tools, but we all learn somehow.Good luck!

This vlog was a complete joy, thankyou so much. The only problem I would have about the potions is the amount of plastics? Now if they were in lined aluminium or glass bottles.. I manufacture and produce hemp balms and oils, and they all go out in lined aluminium containers that can be fully recycled or sent back for a discount on the next refill.

Good morning & Happy Sunday blessed and lovely Newby Family. What a great & marvelous bee journey. So much to learn and so peaceful. Aren't bees a wonderous creation? Honey is so helpful and healing to consume. I am overjoyed you were able to get the car sorted out. The drive to where the bees were is so beautiful. I literally am running out of words to describe seeing the beauty and majesty of God's creation. His most beautiful creation is, of course, all of you. The world so dearly needs Mums and Dads who lovingly give this kind of life to their children. Crusoe with you, Tara, and seeing the beauty of creation and how the bees do what they do. The honey looks so perfect and I could only imagine eating some that is not messed up by unnecessary processing. I closed my eyes and listened to the music, all of your voices, and prayed. My son and I need to get out more here in Southern Missouri. We are blessed to have so much forestry around us. John, the kitchen looks so great and I am so excited to see it grow and grow. I loved your story about Sawyer, hee hee way too cute. Most of the time I watch your videos twice. I like to enjoy the second viewing to really take in all the sights and sounds. You are all such a blessing and wonderful teachers. I pray for your safety, joy, and peace. God bless and so much love in Christ! ~John 🙏♥🌞

My friends down the road have a honey farm their father and mother started 60 years ago. It makes the best honey and it's a dark chestnut color like Deigo's too. I love the fact that the boys aren't afraid of the bees. You both are doing such an amazing job raising them.

This was another very special episode with the bees. Just love them and watching you and Crusoe amd Jaoi learning and enjoying the total buzz of it all. Years ago I read a wonderful book by Rudolf Steiner called Bees . Not sure if its still in print, but if you can get a copy, it is well worth it. 💛🐝
