Hisea sent me a set of men’s mid calf rain boots over a year ago, love those things. I was sent the tall rain but haven’t worn those as much due to drought. I have some noble outfitters work style like chore and those are good. I’ve had standard chore and muckmaster. I hated the muckmaster the high back rubber rubbed my Achilles. So far the last year the Hisea mid calf is my go to based on comfort. I’m awaiting a 3rd test boot to show up and I’m SUPER excited for it given our current climate.

DryShod is top notch. Former owner of Muck boots and started his own company and made appropriate changes and improvements needed. I love them

I've been a fan of Bog boots for some time, kids had them first and then I picked up the Bog Roper boots a few years ago. Still have them, still love them. I bought some Hisea short waterproof gardening boots recently for what seemed like a steal compared to Muck boots (about 1/3 the price) and they're very comfortable, surprisingly warm, and the lugs work great for the mud too. I love how easily they slip on and off completely hands free.

I had bogs and they got holes after about 4 months. My bogs have been great for years but had to replace them and my new pair started to separate and i called the company, no support. Tried the Hisea and they are great. The trim can't of after about a year, but still going strong and the best price.

The sock graveyard is my number one issue with mucks. Number 2 with muck chore is longevity. They only last me one season before they start leaking. I hadn’t heard of hisea before, I’ll give them a try. Thanks for the tips!

Do all the muck boots cause sock damage? Or just the chores?

I like my nrs boundry boots, they are like a neoprene moccasin and i added some leather protection but they have lasted 2 years so far

Lands End has great zip up waterproof ankle boots for winter. They are soooo light and easy to put on and off. Mucks are so heavy and made weird callouses on tops of my big toes. TSC boots are so cheap only lasted 1 month before rubber cracked.

The Mucks - I got to the point where a roll of duct tape was out on the porch next to the boots. Tape to reinforce whatever socks I was wearing so they wouldn't blow holes every day.

Interesting, I'll have to check them out! Thanks for watching!

🤣 Never thought of duct tape but I'm sure it did the trick! Thanks for watching!

If you have never worn Pokeebo, you don't know what you're missing out on, I guarantee you this. (Pokeebo Tread has non-slip ridgey soles, and regular Pokeebos are flat, I find them slippey on wet mud, but some farmers like them, because they don't have to pick at animal poop with a stick when it gets stuck in between the ridges.)

Interesting! Haven't heard of these ones.

You should learn to darn socks (in your spare time, right?) so you can use the socks with ankle holes.
