Woohoo it's Mike and Heather ❤ just um WOW it's amazing how you guys were able to maximize your space and organize all of that yet it doesn't look messy or cluttered great video

It was all trial and error! The first couple times we went out, we felt way too claustrophobic and therefore needed to be more organized 😂 Thank you so much for watching!

I really like your setup!! Our van is newer and we have to keep the dividing wall behind the seats for insurance reasons, so we can't use and wouldn't really have so much space with an overhead shelf for clothes. We use small backpacks and so far so good. But I love that you shared what you took that worked vs what took up space! Thank you, great video!

You are too kind! Thank you so much for the kind words and for watching, we really do appreciate it! It sounds like you have a pretty great setup yourself- the most important thing about a van build is that it works for you 😊 The newer versions of this van are longer, correct? That would be so nice!
@lynneeie5226 Жыл бұрын
Hi - I think they may be a little longer. Yes they must be, because we have 2m and a man 6’4inches is about 1,93m so yes I think so. Less headroom, but our little sofa is low and it works for us. 🥰 Happy international travels!

An informative review of vanlife needs. You guys are sooo organized. I put things away and 10 minutes later can’t find them. Well, I do have 30 … 40 years on you though. What’s the next adventure?
@mikeandheather Жыл бұрын
Too funny! We kept doing the same thing which is why we decided everything needs a place so we remember where to find things 😂 Honestly, we aren't sure what the next adventure is yet! We are currently home, working and saving money. Hopefully we will get back to traveling soon 😀

I love your videos!! I'm from Elkhart, IN. Yep, the RV capital of the world. I'm planning on getting a van and building it out to travel and see this beautiful country. I just finished your Alaska videos. I rarely watch TV anymore because I'm watching you two. BTW, you're both adorable. Your videos make me smile and laugh. I'm close to retirement and can't wait to take my tiny home south or southwest for the winter. Quick question. What cross body does Mike wear at times, and what brand of backpacks do you use? Keep up the excellent videos!!!! ❤

Thank you for the kind words and for watching, we really do appreciate it and you! It means a lot to us ❤️ The crossbody Mike wears is the City Sling 2 from Aer. We have a camera bag from Wandrd Prvke and two small hiking daypacks from Osprey. We will include the links to the products below in case you are interested in checking them out but truthfully, we didn't pay full price for any of the bags, we bought them from eBay and Facebook Marketplace 😀 Hope that helps! Best of luck in your van search/build! That is so exciting! You will have to keep us updated, we would love to hear all about it! @mikeandheather Thank you for the information!! If you're ever in Elkhart, IN, and want a quiet place to park and plug in, you are welcome at my home. I live about 4 miles south of the rv hall of fame, in a quiet, small subdivision. I have an empty rv pad next to my home with 30-amp electricity. You are welcome anytime and can stay as long as you'd like. I live close to Amish country and a huge flea market in Shipshewana, IN. Keep up the great videos. I love seeing your travels. ❤️

Great load out for 2! What’s the longest time you’ve both been off the grid in your van and not had to get any food, water, electricity or other form of support?
@mikeandheather Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words and for watching, we really do appreciate it! We were moving quickly to be able to visit all 50 states and therefore didn't stay in one place for too long. The longest we stayed off the grid with our van was at a wild camping spot for the weekend, so three days. We could do longer however, that wasn't the style of travel we were doing at the time :) Hope that helps! Thanks again for watching!

Can yall measure the distance from the windowsill to the floor? I know yall covered it, but I think yall should be able to feel it through the carpet. The windowsill I'm talking about is above the wheel wells, where yall countertop is. Thanks :D
@mikeandheather Жыл бұрын
Hi, honestly it is a bit hard to measure! If we had to "guesstimate" it would be about 25 inches from the floor. We hope that helps- sorry we can't give you a more accurate measurement!
@nicki8731 Жыл бұрын
@mikeandheather no no, all good! Plus minus half an inch is good enough 👍
