I’m surprised you didn’t stop in Stroud. You’ve mentioned cars but that’s where the idea came from. The imagineers talked to the owner of the Rock Cafe and she told them about the history of Route 66. She was also the inspiration for Sally.

I don’t know why everyone skips over Springfield mo since it’s the birthplace of Route 66.

You guys aren't worried that the jug lid doesn't screw on? I'd be worried it would spill 😬 the storage pillowcase seems like a great idea though. My must-have item to take with me is my HomeFi hotspot, it's been so helpful for working remotely and it can fit in my pocket!

# Tipping in restaurants 4:18 - in India you definitely don't have to tip 10% in restaurants. You can tip 50-100 rupees. A little more if you are feeling generous. # Begging Remeber if you give money to beggars you may immediately get swarmed by other beggers. It's still worth doing if you feel like it.

We have a 2014 transit connect we are working on converting. We love the idea of the extra shelf over the front seats. How did you accommodate the air bag systems above the doors? Or does your version not have airbags there?

Most beggers in cities are owned and trafficked by gangs. Please do NOT give money to beggers. You will encourage human trafficking.

I have these hanging convex mirrors from amazon on mine and I hate how gaudy they look. One of the mirrors actually broke off and I had to gorilla glue epoxy it back on so idk how long that'll last. I had no idea Britain had the good mirrors! Thanks for showing those, that's at the top of my wishlist now lol

Hello Mike and Heather . May I ask the exact location of the parking spot at where you park your car ? I heard something about visitor center . Thank you

You two are awesome! Just discovered you because I'm thinking about buying a Ford Transit Connect that someone converted to a camper. It's similar to yours. I've been camping in my Prius for three years and I've got it down. Love it. I do mostly urban camping where my car is more of a hotel to sleep than a handout space (just got back from a week in NYC, which went great). Even wonder if a bigger vehicle is what I need but I guess I won't know til I try. Thanks so much for all the thoughtful advice, tips, and explanations.

If you like stragedy puzzle games. I recommend The Genius Square game. It's a 2 player game. It is a fast pace game. Race your partner kind of game. You can also play by yourself. Challenge your brain. It also says on the cover of the box it has 62,208 different puzzles. So it will never get old. I got my also Amazon.

Nice looking van. I also knock on wood that my Transit Connect hasn't had transmission issues.

One of the easiest keepsakes to get, that have been around forever, are postcards. The photos on them are amazing and they don't fade too much over time if stored properly. They don't take up a ton of space either. Looks like yall had a great trip.

When you were in Santa Claus, you were about five miles from Lincoln's Boyhood Home National Historic Site . It is part of the National Parks system so I guess no filming. Holiday World is an amazing park. Safe Travels.

Today, the large amount of information available in all media is much more accurate and valuable than the contribution of many guides.

In my opinion, and I say this from personal experience, the Golden Triangle is much better to do it on your own than to do it on a tour, due to the enormous amount of dissatisfaction that a tour leaves behind.

Love this video! We will be doing this road trip in a few weeks in reverse, from central FL to Maine (we will be camping 3 nights in Acadia), and will be visiting the First Mile Marker. After that, we swing over to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and then back to central FL. Safe travels!

Watching your videos on 66 and very interesting but do you add the commercials every 5 minutes or KZbin? Cuz it's annoying AF. Luckily I can skip them

We loved those 14 miles of Kansas. Like you, when we were there a lot was closed but a lovely guy came and opened up the museum just for us, so awesome and exactly the sort of kindness we found on Route 66.
