This was really helpful. We go in 4 days for four weeks.

Those side view mirrors may have been the default ones in Europe. I've seen plenty of Mk1 Transit Connects, and they all have that model, including mine.

I love this practicality. SO many van lifers, even solos, have so many utensils and kitchenwares that take up lots of space. I'm still in my house until my build is done and I only have 2 spoons, 2 forks, etc.

Check out Hanamikoji if you get a chance. Some of the best card play I've ever come across in a game. It's incredible and doesnt take a lot of space. Fairly quick but good strategy and some tough decisions! I also recommend Jaipur and Onitama.

Wow Thanks for your positive and negative experiences from time in an older transit connect! I am looking for such a travel vehicle for all the reasons you mentioned!!!

Is this the regular or long version of the transit connect? thank you.

thanks for the video , excellent. You didn't mention where you showered ? Your Transit Connect isn't self contained , right ? Not sure I want to go for 3 weeks staying every night in a hotel/motel which would probably get pretty expensive. Could do it on motorcycle or in car. What say you ?

Hive is great! I also suggest 2 player card games, competitive - Fungi (german edition prettier artwork than Morels), Sea Salt & Paper, Fabled Fruit (2 player plus), 2 player board game: Yamma (3D connect 4, play like chess and out stategise rather than out trick each other) 2 player cooperative, trick taking card game - Fox in the Forest - Duet. 3 player plus, cooperative trick taking card game: Mission: Deep Sea. Enjoy!

I have a rampromaster city which is about 5 feet Y6 feet long. And you have to step up to get inside. I can sit down fine without my head. Hitting a ceiling. My concern is how to go about fixing it. I try to do it myself and I got a bed bench and just some pockets on the side to hold some camping gear but I like what you got so maybe I'll try to imitate. I don't know how to do electrical.I hope to find somebody to help me with that. Maybe I could do a video on how you set up the electrical. That would be helpful for me.

I'm curious. Do you have some kind of a heater like a little die?Sel heater or how do you keep warm when it's cold out.

I like all the features that you have you give me a lot of work to try to figure out how to go about it.

Without keeping the car running, are there any heaters you can use in the van that are safe? Maybe something that run off a portable battery? I know heaters draw a lot of amperage.
@X-7-JAMES26 күн бұрын
Not sure if you do this or not, but it may be a good idea to hide several Apple AirTags or a Minomoto GPS tracker in your van in case it’s stolen.

A little correction about the Evisa….you can’t get it “as soon as possible” like you suggested….you can’t get it any earlier than 30 days in advance…about of people buy their plane ticket a few months in advance but you can’t get the evisa until you have just one month to go…

Very nice, informative video, but two questions. Question 1: the weather. Was it not hot? I see you were wearing a jacket in Delhi! Question 2: the food! No bowel problems? How did you manage tasting street food and staying ... let´s say safe?

DO NOT GET THIS!!!! It is not true unlimited data!! Its just like any other hotspot you get from Verizon or T-mobile. You will get throttled/capped after 100GB used to almost a crawl, which blocks you from accessing the data. Its like saying go 1 mile with a car in 2 minutes, now go that same 1 mile again with just your legs in 2 minutes - it can't be done. If you want true unlimited data, just spend the extra 15.00 to 20.00 dollars a month more and go with cox or whatever cable internet is in your area. You will spend more in 1 year than Calyx, but at least you will get good speeds to the internet on your PC or when you stream your movies without 30 minutes of buffering every 1 minute of viewing your show. I am NOT a fan of Starlink, but its the next choice for travelers. Just remember, there is no cheap solution for internet on the road unless you have multiple hotspot plans that will cost you more than Starlink.

My roommate would always beat me at Hive, so we house-ruled a handicap system. He would keep his pieces face down until played, so he never knew what he was bringing out next. If I had started beating him regularly that way (I still couldn't), we were gonna ease up, first by letting him see the next tile, then more and more future tiles, until he knew the order of all of them, then we'd open it up to letting him choose between the next two, three, etc..

The Fox in the Forest is a trick-taking game for 2 players. It's my favorite trick-taking game of all time, because the tension of trying to shoot the moon or worrying that your opponent will shoot the moon in hearts is present every single round (you get more points for winning more tricks, unless you get greedy, then your opponent gets the max value for the round). There are only three suits, and half the cards have special abilities, but they're the same across suits, so it's really easy to understand what possibilities you might have to face. It's the best. There's also the "duet" version, which is cooperative, but I've not played it yet.

November is not 'off-season' - Mid October to November end and February to mid march are the months most people in the know plan trips to delhi. The time from december to january is too cold in the evening and early morning and also witnesses the time period that gives Delhi briefly the prestigious title of being No. 1 in air pollution in the entire world, with poisonous smogs descending regularly and 3 out of every 10 children born there in that time period having lasting health issues to remember delhi by. ❤ 😊 P.S: If people with breathing problems visit delhi during december and january, I guarantee you that India will an "unforgettable" experience in your life.Although N95 masks are recommeded during smog times, you can avoid it to gain authentic delhi experience. Let Delhi be to your body what Paharganj is to Delhi. ❤

A point to add to the begging culture of India would be the presence of the organised hijda(transgender) mafia. Basically in the past transgenders where ostracized from families and left to beg on the streets from the days of old. And like anywhere else in the world, the best way to take money from people is to justify it through religion, in this case, Hindism. The accounts differ across regions, but anyway they managed to piggyback on certain ancient myths and such to convince the people to consider them as divine and capable of giving blessings of fertility to couples and longevity to children. Then modern india rolls by and the beggar mafia catches on to this and hence now if you go to any major spots in north india or in trains, you will find normal men in gangs of 3 or more(part of the Indian beggar crime mafia), dressed up as hijdas and forcing money from people. Many will turn violent if you don't. You cannot escape them. they are organised. You cannot argue with them, no one will help you. They claim religion to basically mug people and the government is helpless as taking action againt them will piss off the religious hindus in their voterbase. Basically the hijda Crime Mafia is untouchable in India. just give some money to them(don't just open your wallet in front of them. they will snatch money from it and refuse to give it back and will shame you beyond what you can imagine) and go about your way.

So far, over the past 60 years, I have driven to & explored 49 States & 12 Canadian Provinces... and I've been to every National Park & many State Parks, and I still travel where I at times revisit the same places because I have been just about everywhere.... and I unfortunately travel alone, but I'm used to it.
