I am not close to any of my extended family neither is my fiance, but you know the grudges held in black families about not being invited. The thing is nobody ever took interest in our lives for the past 7 years(not even a phone call ) and now everyone wants an invite. We thinking about a court wedding and a small gathering of just our parents and siblings.

I can understand I dont talk to alot of family members but feel pressure to invite them :/ when I dont want them there. Remember the day is about the two of you decisions have to be made you can say sorry x amount of people only you are not selected to be invited lol. Best of luck with your planning x

My husband and I started budgeting together (his leading too lol) while we were dating/engaged as well and got we married quickly. We also purchased a home together shortly after that. We had a private ceremony in the very thick of quarantine with just us. We are still having a micro wedding with family this summer. Planning this way was super intentional. Love the similarities here. Marriage is beautiful. Partnership is beautiful. May God continue to bless you guy’s Union ! ❤️

I organised my finances in a very similar detailed way like this when I started saving up for our house and then our wedding. It requires an extreme level of detail like this to save as quickly as possible. Excel is a godsend. Great job, guys!

I love how you guys are talking about prepping before the engagement. I’m not yet in engaged but my boyfriend and I have been discussing it. Though my research I can tell that once your engaged, you have to hit the ground running. Saving before hand as a couple is such a great idea. Thanks for this awesome info!

Congratulations! Great video! Our wedding is June 4, 2022. We are using so many different ideas to keep our budget under 5K. We have a beautiful public park venue with horses and ponds. We are having a rustic style wedding and bbq reception. I am great with decor and design so I'll be doing DIY projects. My moms co-worker is a photographer so that cuts down costs. I'm excited to see how it all goes. New subscriber ❤️
