I'm not a sub, but I catch random of your videos from time to time. The smile from Siera when that popup toy let loose I think is the biggest cutest smile i've seen on a little kid in a long time. Love those eyes. And that "woo hoo" omg!

my land-locked gut (protruding gut) tells me that Brian should serve Karin ribeyes religiously to put some meat on her frame. this upload shows that our hard-working lovely Swedish mommy lost a lot of what little mass she had during her bout with illness. we all love her & seeing her go through that was terrible for all.

BTW, You guys are heroes to WE Sail. Erica and Warren love you guys and you are their inspiration. A group decision is sometimes a better decision as you can logically walk through the pros and cons. I don't think I would have been able to sleep. You both are rockstars. On a separate note, my wife cannot believe that I have been watching your vids for 11-12 years now. Thanks for allowing me to follow you around this big blue marble

It really is amazing, I too have been a long time follower and through todays technology and from the Hard work and heart of Brian, Kazza and the Delos Tribe. I feel as if I too have traveled with them on their journeys. I have seen many different cultures across the world, it's inspiring and amazing how people are so adaptable to the regions they live in. I am forever grateful for the Delos Tribe, they have taken me on quite an adventure from the safety of my home. lol maybe one day that will change and I will be on Night watch for Brian and the crew 🤙 Namaste!

Fantastic video of the drama that sometimes goes along with sailing. At about 3:45 though, Kazza describes a situation that she could get really stressed out about. No, you don’t have to apply stress at all, it is a CHOICE. You can look at the situation an work out what you can do about it and do it, or you can stress about it, which does nothing to alleviate the situation. Once you adopt this approach, dealing with difficult situations gets much easier. But the critical deal here is to REALIZE STRESS IS A CHOICE. That changes everything.

Nice kliffhanger...curious what happened to the stranded ships. Most ships will survive a storm at sea, the biggest threat is running aground. I have been in a force 12 storm near Norway, a rollercoaster ride for 24 hrs but the 35ft Granada had no damage. The waves were massive like dunes. Looking forward for part 2!

Appreciate the videos and the time it takes to compile, know the reasons for the KZbin delay in the timeline. But some reference to the date line in the caption or details would make understanding the weather easer to relate to today and how far in the past it is. keep on sailing.

Man I know that stress all too well. On the east coast this year we had Fiona hit us hard in Nova Scotia. I was so stressed out about my sailboat, she was in a marina extra line, fenders, sails and all canvass removed. We were sure we might lose our boat, we new it was coming right at us. The boat afterwards was fine, not even a scratch, our house had part of the roof ripped off, every tree in neighborhood down. Our house is gutted being repaired and have not lived there since September, but my family is safe and my boat survived, perfect. Glad you are safe!

Im having flashbacks to September when I rode Ian out on a Mooring Ball in Key West. I reckon we had very similar experiences. We saw gusts up to 80 and I witnessed plenty of boats breaking loose from their moorings through the night, along with red and green flashes from blowing transformers on shore. When I woke up the next morning I could see glowing fire and smoke from a fire on Flagler Ave, and 12 boats on Fleming Key.

Super hard to watch your dilemma on whether to go to San Carlos or not. I know this episode just aired, but it was weeks ago. I have groups of friends that live there and have retired there, and could walk to the marina and have them call you... In fact there's two marinas. I've actually looked at buying a boat that is there. The marina and the little bay are amazing and quite protected and would be a great home base for full timers. Okay now, I'll watch the rest of this episode and see how it shook out for you guys. I just know the feeling having been through several hurricanes in my life. Including a cat 5.

This video brought back a lot of memories for me... Watching that boat go aground - seeing it rise on the crest of a wave then drop into the trough and stopping suddenly with a shudder (the thud of your keel bottoming out is unforgettable, my heart was suddenly in my throat as that sensation rippled through me, even after 54 years and 8 days)... The shots from Basil, the spindrift, the haze created as the wind whips water into the air... Yeah, memories... Your shots of the San Carlos entrance, you talked about it looking like white water... I would love if you would insert a narrative into a coming video that explains the difference of the swell/wave formations in lakes and Seas (like Cortez) that have no basis in ocean swell... How the period is shorter and the faces are steeper Love what you do...

San Carlos was a sweet spot, but by now you probably know it wasn't that great at holding in the bay. I hauled my boat in guaymas for the hurricane season one year. Nice facility there. Santa Rosalia would have been one option too, tucked into the marina nearest the entrance of the basin. The floating docks took a beating from TS JIMENA in 2011?

Well you just fractured the myth that Cruising is all fun and giggles, Just sail around, stop where and when you want, do some diving and laying on beautiful beach's. Nothing to do but have a good time followed by even better times. Boring having just great times everywhere every day. Well it looks like there is some measure of REAL world issues and decisions. Thanks for showing the other side of cruising. Love the adventure Thanks.

The East side of any Northern hurricanes 🌀 or typhoons is the worst side of these types of storms. In my 60 years of my life living in Louisiana and experiencing every major hurricane in the past 60 years we've always managed to get on the western side of the hurricane and was able to survive it..

Reminds me of of my experience with Super Storm Sandy. I was on a Fall cruise and was anchored up by Nyack New York in the Hudson River. Made the decision to head back to the home port and mooring on Long Island before it hit the area. Got back the day before the storm hit. Did my hurricane prep and left the boat hoping for the best. After the storm I found the boat a thousand feet from where I left it still floating and still attached to the mooring. Happily no damage except for the drowned outboard when the dingy got flipped over at the dingy dock. Had to use a grappling hook to find it.. :)

Yes these hurricanes are a big problem at sea. Facing strong winds at anchor even more. The pitching motion pulls at your anchor and the rolling motion of the waves pull at your chain. If the anchor can not settle and rest youre doomed. Using the engine can help in strong winds to take away a little stress from the chain as long as you stay behind it. But by what ive seen you know how to play this little dangerous game well. Keep save!
