The new boat is stunning. Cant wait to see the finished result. Just sucks waiting to see weekly updates. Even worse waiting now 3 weeks for the next update. Now the hard finicky part of the fit out begins. Good luck - will be following as usual.

Still watching videos, even ones I've already watched. It's almost nostalgic, almost like my memories, to re-watch videos from years ago. Thanks Delos for letting me get an inside peek into this amazing life and journey you are all creating. Brian, you are a handy man wizard, and Kaza, I just love how much you feel, especially the love and gratitude. Gratitude has been my key to happiness so I know what mean when you talk about feeling so much love. Looking forward to more of your new boat build videos. Much love.

Did i miss a part where we were shown the boat’s layout? I still dont know if you have narrow berths/cabins in the hulls, or are hulls just buoyancy or stowage?

It is truly insane I 'm in disbelief the place you guys and gal's visit! I had only two dreams! Now my thrust for open ocean & dangerous seas has cultivated my imagination! I know there is no going back now! Can't wait for summer! Heck I never wanted to retire! I just hope when I ever meet the one woman for me, I hope she likes to sail. Sailing SV Delos thanking for helping me to do something when I retire now bc I never wanted to!

I went with a commercial frost free freezer and a dehumidifier. They only specified 60 pints worth of dehumifier. I went with 80. But am considering changing that out. Frost free. Frost free, bigger than 65 liters by a few hundred (500) liters. Frost free. Lots of power. Peace of mind. Still pondering the fish finder. They keep saying the $600 units are all you need. It is not like you can take out all the fish finders and what not. The reviewers are detailed for the most part, however. NO defrosting. No defrosting. Super yachts have them left and right. Priorities are food, and fish and working out. Oh yes, and Sailing. NO defrosting, or worrying when the fish are around, among other things. Just add up the Kwh and install accordingly. Only canned fish, and Progresso soup and a few other things. Bacaloa and Pasta. Dried Cod. Pizza from poolish. Cheesecake with SOUR CREAM in it. I could go on. Frozen is close enough, for the staples of life. Yogurt, vegetables, and fruit, after two weeks. Spanakopita.

Whether you end up using the foam that you have there, or spray foam, (which seems like a great idea), you can coat some marine grade plywood on the inside and lay it over top. Are you planning to use wood for the interior? Cheers

The corrosion between aluminum and titanium was the limit of my knowledge, sorry. Lightning strikes however... good idea to insulate.

I apologize up front if this has already been discussed, and I am not a EE, but that being said, should we be concerned about staticwirh the fiberglass insulation?
@peterdubya1788Күн бұрын
It's probably too late, but you should incorporate a sealing venetian blind style door over your insulated bulkheads to accommodate the given temps, as aluminum moves quite a lot at that scale, per degree over 70F per Inch in bananas, but then again sealed bulkheads could be ventilated.

I run a 3 phase victron system. 82kWh battery. That's 1600amp at 52v I have 12 x 95mm (that's 6x + and 6x - cables).
@nhojcamКүн бұрын
for a static location this would probably be ok. hull flex will probably lead to quick disappointment. check with a marine EE. in my opinion, wire is the way to go, even if it costs more.
@GuinchoWindFactoryКүн бұрын
Condensation will be a killer, the spray foam is by far best solution as it leaves no space in bettwen the hull and pannel, it's a sealed solution.

Will you have a separate compartment that can’t leak into to the main compartment of the boat where you will install the rudder rod? Or will the top of that tube be above the waterline?

The 16:23 audio change with filter is amazing! I didn’t expect it, really surprising. And also the shot, the frame, the whole image, looks like a location of a futuristic movie, the buttons room of a space ship or a villain’s command centre. Really cool 🤙🏻

( australia has become a socialist communist nightmare dresses as a democrac. A bureaucratic nightmare like many western parasitic states. Throttled to death into mediocracy you add NZ , UK , Canada etc to that list. At least the US has DOGE which is making the right noises about deregulation.)

Hi Guys, another concern to be careful of is the magnetic field generated at 1,000 amps. the forces involved when the electric motor is switching on and off will be substantial, and with the bus bars so close together you need to look at the magnetic field interaction. Otherwise youl will have a huge issue in the near future!

I have watched many insulation videos and after probably a hundred or more, I think they all have their good and their bad. I think it's best to use what is needed in any given area. So a combination of probably all of them is the way to go. One thing I found out the gard way, even closed foam insulation will eventually gather water. Ask anyone with a hot tub cover. It may not be a lot, but I don't believe all are of a top grade.
