LVP flooring is the best thing that has happened to flooring in 75 years. I appraise homes, and everyone wants hardwoods, but without the cost and maintenance. LVP is used in homes of all sizes and price points. I have yet to hear any complaints or see any physical deterioration... even in LVP over 10 years old with animals in the house.

The in-situ foamed insulation is probably right. With the pins your showing, I would always be worried about condensation forming between the alu and the insulation. What strikes me as interesting is that you have a 15m length at least 2m hight on both sides of each hull. That's ballpark 120m2, simplyfinging that the hull deck insulation is about the same as the fore and aft of the hulls that you won't need to insulate. If that insulation is 8cm thick, that's 10m3 of insulation, providing 10t on non floodable buoyancy. Adding in the bridgedeck floor, you're probablyy not miles from having a vessel that could be flooded and keep afloat. Given you'll get close to it, it's probably worth considering whether you want to add a bit more than you need to cover the rips and make this emergency buoyancy an integral feature of the build.

hi love your channel been watching for years now .... i live on a narrowboat so not as exciting as what you do .... this thing about insulation ... spray foam is defo the best way as this the only one that acts as a true vapour barrier to stop corrosion as it never has a gap between the metal and the insulation .... boats in england are more sort after is that insulation is installed .... hope this helps thanks for what you do

At least with LVP you can always change it several years later for a different look at not a huge cost.

Love the vids! I think spray foam is the only choice for effectiveness, simplicity, moisture control, even coverage and longevity. Using foam panelling on specific areas for ease of access makes sense but would not be great at controlling moisture in those areas. Spray foam is not that difficult to remove if needed (although you now have all this foam to dispose of) and as stated it’s easy to reapply.

Just my two cents but, I would wait to have a full size cabinet built with the final finish on the veneer before a deciding on the LVP. Wood to wood contrast can be difficult to mix.

Personally, I liked the color that Brian picked. Remember, you wanted to fill lighter and more open and airy is what I got from you so the lighter colors would be better. And also darker color wood shows more dirt than lighter colors also. For example, have you ever seen a black car that was dirty and then saw a white car that was dirty the white doesn’t show it as bad. You can see it, but it doesn’t show as bad as it does on the darker color. Just a thought.😁

Ahoy delos Crew!! Love you guys soooo much!! Just wanted to say Hi, and run this idea I had about the bus bar in the fiberglass channel. I noticed you got quite a bit of grief about it. I'm no electrician, nor engineer... What if you made a system to keep small amount of positive air pressure inside the channel, and a way to monitor it, then you know there would be no possibility of water getting in. And you could have an an alarm tell you if the pressure fell off. Let me know what you think, Love you guys bunches !!!

Remember that wood will darken over time no matter what you protect it with so choose a colour that is lighter than wat you want to end up with.

Perhaps you consider A split cooking field. 2cooking fields side by side instead of one big field. In case something fall on the cooking field or other damage, you still can cook if you have 2 fields.

REASON FOR LIGHTER PAINT...Break water paint. Keep it light and airy looking plus lighter colour maked it look bigger. Your previous dark colours maked it look small. I watch a previous Ninji repaint from dark to white and oh wow how much bigger the inside yacht looked.

In my home I opted for the thin LV tile . . . not due to weight but cost! But I have learned after two years what a serious mistake that was. The tile simply cracks WAY too easily! So, after only two years, my floor looks like hell!
