Yeah definitely do & usually give at least a second or two for the prop to stop spinning but was thinking i've got a spare gearbox I don't have a spare boat 😂

I used to cycle along the path next to that railway with the steam trains and would just chill by the river wishing I could live on a quaint little boat... just bought my first ever boat recently and I'm so excited that my dreams finally come true! Won't be in Bristol though I'm up north now :)

16:21 Poor Danni. High flow and locks can sometimes make them fierce when letting in water (basically you create the same as you saw over the weir by lifting the paddles). You pick these things up and the pair of you need to remember it's all new, mistakes will happen and you just need to enjoy the journey. Excellent to see you are out and about. 🎉

We had a day like yours a couple of days ago. First a boat speeding past us when moored as another boat passed him and he walloped our boat. Then we get back to our mar8na, pump out and get diesel then try and reverse to get into the marina but the wind gets our nose and we end up heading towards yoghurt pots which was quite concerning so end up on the river trent to turn round on an Amber warning. First we do the turn and end up being dragged into the riverbank under a tree. Untangle ourselves from branches and going upstream on amber our engine was really struggling and we got really worried about whether it would fail and we would be deploying our anchor. Seat of the pants stuff. Ended up reducing our engine revs and crawling at a snails pace up river back to sawley lock. Got back in one piece ohew. But we really know what you felt like at the lock with the weir as that was us trying to turn our boat and getting dragged.

The ecoflow fridge freezer is so expensive though its proper small should be in the £500 - £600 price range

Depends what you’re comparing it to really. Dometic’s CFX3 45 is £785 and states 40 litres of storage (although being labelled 45/46), vs 38l on the Glacier. The extra cost is from a built in MPPT so you can charge directly from solar, the ice maker and split climate control for both fridge and freezer. It’s not cheap but it’s definitely not a £600 cool box.

I hear you points but if you have a solar set up then you can run a 12v from a leisure battery anyway so having a fridge with a battery just doesn't make a lot of sense to me , as long you happy
