I shot my worst round in awhile last week. It's crazy how 10 extra shots can feel so physically draining and like it warps time. Feels like a 5 hour round when your playing bad. It's even worst when your hiting it well but just catching every bad break

Reminds me of the time I shot a 97 at Bethpage Black -- felt like an 85 on any other course.

i played the course today went 43 on the front 47 on the back, just so tough to hit driver on anything missed my put for 89 but even a 90 felt like a moral victory

A coach once told me that the chance of messing up "laying up" with a 5 iron is as big as messing up "going for it" with a Driver. Told me to always pull driver and get the ball down the course as far as possible. A lot of "layups" just put you in a worse position and the reward is not worth the risk for us amateurs.

I just played this course. You can’t just rip your driver every hole. Gotta play smart

Tough course indeed. That is so narrow and then riddled with trouble. Fun video for sure.

Watching this made me feel a bit better about the rounds I just played there. Greens were definitely rolling the faster when I was there, quickest of all the courses at Innisbrook. Lots of holes that were guarantee 3 putts (at least) if you were above the pin. It's a nice course, but if I go back, I wanna try and play the South course and Copperhead the most. Both were much more fun/playable.

The Island course is a fun track , but course managment is a key . I know that I hit alot of three woods off the tees .
