In this Our Changing Climate environmental video essay, I explained how federal lands have become embroiled in a battle between federal and state's rights. I look at how the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Forest Service, and the National Park Service are tasked with the difficult job of managing federal lands for multiple uses. As a result, this has led to events like the Sagebrush Rebellion and the struggle over Bears Ears National Monument.

I would love to learn more about this subject. The way you break it down is so easy to digest.

Public land is just that public land and MUST be accessible to public yet million of acres are not because they are surrounded by private land owners telling the public "no access". They (the private land owners) say they are the stewards protecting public land... Wrong, but they get away with it.. Our constitution gives the public the RIGHT to access PUBLIC LAND!

I would argue we should sell some public lands. Do we really need 60% of the western united states as public land?

@@michaeleldridge5640 you don't want to sell public land. you want to own and control land. don't try to obfuscate the real point

@@360.Tapestry Wouldn't you want to own land? Why should the government hold all the land and not let us have the opportunity to buy some? The government owning considerable amounts of land is similar to autocracies and communist regimes. And we are not like those countries.

The good thing about diamond I'd you can cut through it with a diamond disc and water because the disc is cooled more by the water than the one point or line its cutting through and as ll the debris can be recycled into more disc

we must save land that people hike on sometimes, sure the residence around are poor and not allowed to develop but then again we can go home to the city after and enjoy civilization

Are there not enough state, local, and national parks already? I would argue we should sell some public lands. Do we really need 60% of the western united states as public land?
