Debatable, i know Alex his friends we grew up in the same circles, there are others just as gifted. He lived with a guy i know in Manchester, he's actually Welsh no British but from the UK he reps Manchester. There are underground guys who are as gifted Sasha was in the right places at the right time and he acted on it, he would tell you that. Him being in the right place at the right time had doors open for him. He met Geoff Qakes and they managed to nail him down to a residency, Renaissance, this is what took him to the top before that he was doing the DJ circuit round the UK. He is a master craftsman but there are those just as good.

oh thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you! This was more satisfying than a well prepared and executed Thanksgiving dinner. Watching the crowd letting loose, going crazy, all hot and sweaty inside that overcrowded Underground confined space made me really want to party. big big smile across my face🎭. it has helped me open my mind 👾 and get my creative thought process thrust to a new level. again, thank you so much!🌞

Okay it's 10 years later and I still fucking hate this man because he can take all the same records everybody else has and he makes them sound like MAGIC. Like... my brother... leave some crumbs for the rest of us. It's hard to play a record at a party when Sasha has already played it a million times better than it would ever sound in anybody else's set.

Hi mate I must have watched this video 100 times. I dont suppose either you or sasha have a recording of the whole set do you? I would be willing to pay this is in my top 5 sets I've ever experienced.
@Muffin123ification5 жыл бұрын
To elaborate; James zabiela was meant to do 2 hours and sasha 2 hours. James cancelled due to snow so sasha had 4 hour set. Instead of being usual building progressive sound sasha came out with this huge techno and then fully smashed it for 4 hours. Absolutely fantastic. The guy is a true professional and genius. He knew exactly what we wanted. One of the best sets I've ever seen
@ourmaninthefield42665 жыл бұрын
I remember that night so well. And yes. The snow was awful. It got down to -15 a few days later in Manchester. Sadly not. It wasn’t recorded. We recorded the tracks from our mics and then sashas sound engineer rebuilt it and put it all together for us. He did a truly blinding job IMO. Great night. One for the memory books, that’s for sure. Thanks for still watching. It really does mean an awful lot that our little films are appreciated 😃

@@ourmaninthefield4266 I'm not a big fan of sasha's newer stuff. The build up sort of stopped abruptly @3.40, I wish he kept building up for longer. Although I'm not a fan of the retina scan track tbh.
Great vid and still pushing the boundaries of progressive house, but wish I knew what he was doing apart from twiddling some buttons, call me old school, which I am, but dj ing as an art form, where you scratch , mix and line the beats up, have been taken over by a computer , but to be fair to sasha, he learn t his trade doing that and we can't live in the past

just a suggestion though, and only my opinion ... I am positive you can have the same amount of Base intensity without losing quality of the music. you could actually create music with just as intense, if not more intense Bass that actually sounds good. this would make the whole sensual experience that much better and more complete. in other words, more satisfying, more fulfilling for those of us with an insatiable appetite♔♕♬☚ 🔚🔂but not really ♾
