You never disappoint Laura!! I know this is an older video but just getting around to watching it lol! I have been making a ton of your hygiene recipes for myself and my family for over a year now and we couldn’t be happier for switching to all natural! 🥰 Having this information and putting it into practice is truly empowering! 💪🏻🙌🏻

You should deff specify that not all essential oils can be used directly on your skin and need to be diluted. jojoba oil is an amazing choice.
@ouroilyhouse5 жыл бұрын
I have several videos and blog post about that. I love jojoba oil too!
@gaganpreetk_ahuja4 жыл бұрын
I agree. She using lavender directly on to her skin would give a general idea that any essential oil can be used like that. That's risky for someone who has no knowledge of aromatherapy.

Hi Laura, I love these ideas of diffuser , using the salt and also making a reed diffuser with oils. I see that people advise to add alcohol to the carrier oil so that the oils will mix well. Is that true ? You didn't mention it in your video, I just want to be sure - do I need to or not ?

I just watched your video. I'm just starting to try a diy reed diffuser. I typically put candles on a burner but they are way too strong in my small house (burn my nose!)....I can't seem to get the aroma to get out into the room from the diffuser. I purchased reeds on Amazon (too short so I added more of them). I used Safflower oil. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Thanks!!

Me too. I used 100% alcohol, sweet almond oil and 40 drops EO. It doesn't work at all.

Essential oils Will Stain Clothing! Test a small spot on an interior hem first! Especially high quality oils & citrus oils stain. Organic cotton clothing & hats stain big time! I use oils in place of toxic artificial fragrance. I apply them before I put clothes on, st each pulse point or sweaty spot (if the weather goes is hot.) Do Not put them directly on clothing or accessories & even if 1 oil was great, went on clear, no damage, Beware Not all oils are the same! Grapefruit High quality Rosemary Tangerine Clove, etc, the darker colored oils stain. Also, the color and material of your fabrics determinate staining. Even clear oil will stain high quality organic cotton. I find it best to add 10-15 drops of my favorite oils in the fabric softener dispenser of my washer. With a bit of water instead of fabric softener. Essential oils will clog atomizer spray bottles! Be warned! I have yet to find a spray bottle the oils won’t clog! Even with distilled water and alcohol.

I'm just learning about oils. Is it ok to put the oils right onto skin? I thought you have to use a carrier oil but have read that you can put it in your hands to breathe in.
@ouroilyhouse4 жыл бұрын
Some oils, known as neat oil, are OK to apply without a carrier oil. If you aren't sure, always dilute.

Is hymilain salt the only salt you can use? Could you use kosher salt too?
@amandareyneke5596 Жыл бұрын
Kosher salt us salt that had been prayed over. It's got nothing to do with the "type" of salt. The salt you should use is coarse salt (not refind) and whether it is kosher or not it will be fine

Love the video overall although I’m in the medical field and often roll my eyes when I hear people acting like oils can cure cancer. They smell good and are calming...that’s it. Also, your immune system doesn’t need to be “boosted”. That’s actually what autoimmune disorders are- the immune system doing too much and attacking the body. Just eat right, exercise, drink enough water, and get your vaccines. 👍🏾👍🏾

What vaccines do we need..... if we have been diagnosed with a chronic auto immune disorder.....at 60yrs......please help to correct immune for me...
@leannshort2211 Жыл бұрын
@@lindaberg9161 NO vaccines! Look into the GAPS nutritional protocol to heal and seal a leaky gut. After all, the microbiome is where the majority of our immune system resides. Heal a leaky gut and you’ll heal autoimmune disorders! ❤️
