Here's a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ idea for when funds permit in the future. Build a shop for your wood working table all the power and hand tools on the back of the solar panels with a floor built on pallets and power supply/lights. This would open up your car ports greatly for projects and visitors. And give you a nice dry place to work no matter what mother nature brings.😎👍👍Plus use another one of those salvage doors.

I like the sponge painting that Jess did on the front door. It is a pleasing design. The extra white appliques looked beautiful over the sponged on background! I hope you put some type of protective coat over all that beautiful artwork on the door. I hope you can find something that won't tinge it yellow like polyurethane does. I like the way you cleaned up the tools Jim! Nice job! Thanks for this Jim and Jess.

The inside of the door is beautiful the out side of the door is beautiful also put some brown and green in there for Jim. I wouldn't have covered both sides of the palates with osb I would have left one side open to see what is inside. You might bring up a shovel with a snake wrapped around it or a black widow read to pounce on you. Think?

Love the way your door turned out Jess, all that work preparing it makes it another labor of love project that you will sit back and really enjoy someday. So many interesting personal touches just add to the uniqueness of your home. I've really enjoyed your channel and admire your ability to build such an interesting house, I never heard of this type of build before so it's been fascinating to see your differant layers of progress coming together. Very happy to see Jim making decisions on a more efficient workspace and the organization of all the different types of materials and tools that you've accumulated over your many projects, sometimes I find myself saying you're not just going to leave that there are you? Lol. Honestly though your commitment to living this self sustainable lifestyle and all your hard work is what keeps me watching, and cheering you on. ✌

The door came out great! I often say to myself, being kind of messy and also having to find (build) places to put things: a place for everything, and everything in its place. Especially if the place is small and the things are plentiful. But it does make you feel good to clean up a mess and find a better way to store stuff, and create more order. That's also a kind of art, in a way.
@PracticalContrarian2 жыл бұрын
That door is wonderful. Having watched Jess put the time, effort and attention to detail into it that she has and then seeing where her mind went with the finished project reminded me of the old saying "Still waters run deep". A quiet, placid manner oftentimes conceals a passionate nature.

What a great video with important key points to live by. A place for everything and everything in its place, organization is also a form of art. Even the simplest tasks require multiple parts and procedures. The door is trippy and I'm convinced Jess is next generation hippy. Hope she coats her door art with some kind of exterior clear coat. Excited to see her get back up on top.

The door is lovely Jess. And for the man who is "brown-nosing" (LOL), remember - A place for everything and everything in its place. Clutter is a detriment to your mental and physical health. I am slowly going through years of stuff that built up slowly. I am still amazed when I run across something I didn't remember having. Hopefully you will be able to keep things put away when not being used. It does make life so much easier to need something and know exactly where it is. Keep at it and your entire life will improve.

@hubertwebb98692 жыл бұрын
Hey Jim you should make a curved ladder from plywood and two by fours to use while working on the dome. Put a single metal stake in the center top of the dome to pivot on and wheels on the bottom so it can move easily to where you need it around the dome.❤❤❤❤

Love the door! I wasn't sure I would at first, but the colorful highlights on the white stencils were a wonderful finishing touch!Re: Jim's organization or lack thereof, I am totally with you, Jessica. Sam is pretty disorganized and I put up with it for awhile. But it gets to me and eventually disturbs my peace of mind. Sam often doesn't even notice it. Since I'm the one it affects, I often put things away and make things look acceptable to me again.
