I met Earnie at a car show some years ago with one of his little chevys. We had a nice conversation since I was showing a Honda 600 micro car and when I mentioned I was a retired Toyota mechanic he had to show me what was powering his little creation. The guy is very humble when I mentioned he is one of very few master metal shaping artisans around. 😊

Ernie is what you call a real celebrity and artist like no other. That place is a hidden gem and museum. I told my sister and brother in law about his place that they have to visit it for me!

I lived in Hastings ,Nebraska where the goose "Andy" is famous. There was a cafe out on hi-way 6 on the south side of Hastings called "ANDYS CAFE" Named after the goose and I remember when some jerk killed him. His little shoes were so cool. My family is from Hastings and my Granfathers family is from where Ernie is from.Out by Harvard ,Nebraska. I now live in South Omaha where Ernies wife is from. What a small world and thank you for giving this old guy a trip back in time. A great video and I love what you 2 do!!

those mini cars wouldn't survive the potholes or snow we have in Canada. "Rides like a baby buggy down the highway". reminds me of one of those mall rides we kids would beg for a quarter to ride in

😅 Ernie is one of our local cruisers in Maricopa. He and Gene (the builder of the 53 Chey Dwarf) are regulars at Maricopa's Tuesday nite cruise nite in the big parking lot behind Burger King on John Wayne Parkway in Maricopa. Come on out on any given Tuesday nite to meet them. The 1st car shows around 4 PM, and it runs until the last person/vehicle leaves. Bring a car to sit and talk with the group.

Oh shoot! Ernie looks healthy enough to make two more cars. Why stop now? I love his dwarf cars! I would love to see Ernie build a split window, Corvette.
@OurSimpleAdventures7 ай бұрын
Ha! I agree! Him doing that Corvette would be epic! But he's done his thing and wants to retire and enjoy. Maybe Kevin has an interest? Kevin?
@richardbrowne36417 ай бұрын
@OurSimpleAdventures There's only one problem with my choice of Corvette, Ernie is over 6 foot tall. People over 6 feet have a large problem fitting into a full-scale Corvette. I don't know if Ernie could build a split window Dwarf Corvette he could fit in.
@OurSimpleAdventures7 ай бұрын
@@richardbrowne3641 I'll bet he could. But a convertible would probably be better. Lol

I owned a 1968 4 door Toyota carona, I can say the Japanese copied the Chevy 6 cylinder but it's a 4 cylinder and it gets great gas mileage at the time. I fixed my Toyota up looking older then it was. I couldn't find wheels for it so I fixed up the stock wheel covers
