True my school has system called codes And whenever you get a code it contributes to detentions and if you were to get five codes you would get an hour detention so basically I was talking to my friend in class in geography and my teacher gives me a warning for asking for help but when the girl in my class that acts like gabby asked for help and my teacher didn’t shout at her she was nice and she gave me a code for talking to my friend when everyone else in the class was and she gave me and him a code meanwhile the gabby of my class was shouting and throwing a stress ball about but she didn’t get told off at all

This is so true! I’m currently in sixth grade and I like to think that I’m pretty hardworking, respectful and quiet, yet the teachers never acknowledge that. The "bad kids" need positive reinforcement for good behaviour, whereas the "good" kids need negative reinforcement for bad behaviour. The "bad" kids also 9/10 have really rough home lives (parents are addicts, below the poverty line, foster care, single parent household, abuse, homelessness, etc) so that needs to be taken into consideration

@@azzythehellenist5626 the “good” kids can struggle too. A lot of the good kids are usually the quiet ones, and the quiet ones usually pretend to be happy, and try and get on with their work without making a fuss. @@azzythehellenist5626 no, it’s actually the quieter kids that need more help. The fact that they made her captain and gave her opportunities on a plate annoys me. They are rewarding her bad behaviour with a place of authority. It isn't fair, as what happens to all the students who do try for things and behave? They get nothing as the misbehaved kids are being rewarded. The idea of rewarding bad behaved children into the hopes that it 'improves their behaviour' is ridiculous. As all you will see is them make others' lives a living hell as the bad kids now have authority over them. Also it is teaching kids that the only way to get somewhere in life is to misbehave, which is WRONG on so many levels!!!

Every time I see kids like these, it kind of makes me jealous, cause they didn’t have to go through what us Asians went through when we were younger. They’re schools system seems so chill compared to ours and it’s not just that. The tough school system is only 50%, but the rest of the nightmare comes from being a disappointment to our Asian parents and hiding all the wooden rulers in the house to avoid getting hit for scoring a 98% instead of a 100%. That’s Asian parenting 101 for you 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
