@@ninipookie being gujju myself, can confirm trivedi is proper gujju surname, also he was born and raised in mumbai to gujarati parents and started with guharati folk music at early age in his initial career, you could see even in his discography, most of his earlier songs are gujarati folk based, also his native place is ahmedabad, gujarat

I think he was great in parts. I don't know whether his dialogues were all according to screenplay or some of them were improv. But they didn't work at all times. He would be this menacing guy with this ominous stare and evil smile and then suddenly he would give a stupid facial expression , or say something 'cool' in a very nonchalant way that killed the menace IMO. IMO he shouldn't have used casual hindi words or English words in the middle. His language should've been a bit older . Like the hindi of old. That would've been better. "Apne bhai ka sar phod do", "Apne baap ko jhapar maar do", for example didn't work for me for some reason When I watched this movie, I never felt like the Family was in any true danger. I always felt there was this obvious way out that the parents were too stupid or scared to see. That feeling prevented me from really enjoying the movie. I still liked it. But I never felt the hopelessness they were trying to portray.
