The messege of the video is... It shows how traditional art forms / music/ culture are looked down up on / made fun of. It shows how people are forced to abandon their culture. Also shows how they are driven to that stage. The father represent the gurus/ those who made the art . The small boy represents the art/ culture. The school bullies represent the modern generation who burry the art/ culture alive. It's a strong message. I wish our youth would go back to their roots.

Those who questions everything should genuinely try to understand the reasons behind certain "myths/ superstitions/ pseudoscience" without any bias. Then they'll clearly understand it, if they are willing that is. • Why Carnatic music is different? In what all aspects? How it transforms / heals/ energises the subtle body. • Why there are certain rules in temples, why temples are built like that, especially South Indian. • Importance of Yoga, certain lifestyle And many other things and practices which were / are followed. Kadhakali Has 5 main Costume Sets (and 18 others for specific characters from hindu mythology but they are rare). Each costume is given to a specific type of character Costumes in Kathakali represents the three qualities of nature viz. satya (nobility), rajas (aggressiveness) and tamas (darkness) represented by pacha, kathi and thadi respectively. Pacha (Green) for noble male characters like kings and divine beings. Eg Lord Krishna or Rama Kathi (Knife) arrogant but Courageous eg Ravana, Dhuryodhana etc.. Thaadi (Beard) generally for lower classes like monkeys ,forest dwellers, crude people.. Red Beard baali, White Beard Hauman, Nandi etc..Black Beard Dhusasanna, hunters etc... Kari (Charcoal) for demonic characters like Keechaka , Minukku (Radiant) for Saints, women, like Narada, Rishis, Sita, Panchaali, etc..

Rick NAILED IT in first viewing itself.. spot on man, you got a good eye for art and artistic meaning behind things.. the message of this song is incredibly relavent and very much needed right now in india.. my generation is COMPLETELY MISSING the sheer greatness of our ancestrous culture, art forms, way of living, science, yoga, ayurveda, spiritual explorations and realizations, the list goes on and on.. im not saying its "great" out of pride, or just because its MY culture, no.. im a sceptic by nature, i've explored and found many things from our ancestors teachings and practices, and USED them, and benifited from these practices.. thats why i calling my culture GREAT.. Most of my generation(including me) have got it completely backwards i.e my generation is ACTUALLY ASHAMED OF OUR SANATHAN DHARMA for the fear of looking orthodox or backward-minded or old fasioned, i dont know.. Hindus in particular are very SELF-DEPRECIATING in this time and age..
