In this film there is an other song excellently sung by m.g.Sreekumar 'nadharoopini' which is more complicated than this. He got award for this. Nedumudi venu can handle song situation like this like or than mohanlal can do..

The song originally was sung by K. J. Yesudas, M. G. Sreekumar( he sung a part of a song in Dil Se), Sharreth. But M. G. Sreekumar's sound was too sweet for the situation so a separate version was recorded for the movie where Raveendran replaced M. G. Sreekumar. The song is sung in a Raagamaalika which is essentially a medley of different ragas. Each time they are handing over the baton they are starting a new raga and other person has to sing in that raga. Whoever did the subs deserves an award! Raveendran Sir's compositions are always classical/semi-classical in nature and very intricately thought out. No wonder Yesudas sang most of his songs, including this one. BTW, if you want to see the height of lip syncing by Mohanlal, you would have to watch "Swaminatha Paripalaya" from the movie Chitram and "Sree Vinayakam" from Bharatham

Rick did connect more to this song than Korbin. Could understand it from the swaying of his head. Korbin was in his usual 'Rock n roll' head movement. All these years, I've observed how people enjoyed carnatic(classical /semi classical) music. We can say a lot about their level of understanding, taalabodham etc., by their gestures and movements. I've only learned Carnatic till the geetham, studied Mridangam for a out 5 years. Need to continue.

Awesome , thanks to whoever suggested this song. And this is a difficult song to subb .. one thing it's literature is not easy to understand and it has lot of musical undertones .
