The background music in the trailer is the "Shiv Tandava" music which is the representation of "Lord Shiva" in his most furious and destructive form called "Mahakaal"..... BTW This film is equivalent to a documentary where is there isn't much unnecessary drama for character building and stuff. Just the entire sequence of events and facts are shown

Hotel Mumbai was an amazing film that potrayed the humanity in the attackers too. They were humans who were misled and thought they were doing right. They joked around had fun too. Don't get me wrong, no mercy, they did a terrible thing and deserve nothing. But they were human beings

I still remember this attacks my cousin use to work for TAJ and stuck there for 2 days and we all were praying for him to come back alive my aunt stayed outside taj praying, my whole family was devastated. Luckily our army fought and saved many lives. My cousin was in trauma for at least 3 years.

It was "Hotel Mumbai" with Dev Patel. The score used is regional music of Maharashtra state where this happened and Mumbai is capital of the state. You should also watch "Bombay (1994)" based on 1993 bombay blasts and another gem "Roja" based on Kashmir issue.

My most of the family members are government officers, and I don't know what to say but my father, 3 uncles where present there during that attack. Protecting and saving people. For we family members it was a very tough time as we were not able to contact them. We were just praying that they should come back home safe. I don't have words to express like how I'm feeling and i don't know what to say. It's just i was very happy and blessed as my father came home after a week and i m proud of him and all my uncles who were there that time and serving. But remembering this incident which happened gives me goosebumps and while typing this comment I was into tears. Sorry but i don't know how to express myself and that incident.

I still remember how Mumbai was in lockdown for a few days... i was in gurgaon when this incident happened and it sent chills to entire India Edit: i read about how one of the waiters in the hotel at that time took it upon himself to help a tourist family who had asked him for help. I remember how they mentioned almost getting caught by the terrorists and had to hide within some of the corpse to get away as they were all in the restaurant kitchen when it occurred.

Just an add on...The music and song is actually series of mantras devoted to Lord Shiva. It is one of the most powerful. It us also used in first part of Bahubali when Prabhas lifts the shiv linga. Hope that help.

How the mumbai police suddenly found themselves unable to respond to such a situation and how the whole machinery broke. Atlast when the black cat commandos and marco commandos were airlifted to the city and engaged the terrorists, is when the nighmare ended.

I think, that while this movie focuses on the impact of what happened, hotel Mumbai is about what happened, while it's happening. I think that one's gonna be way more gripping and will just be more dark and 100% raw. I'm excited but really nervous about Hotel Mumbai.

The Dev patel one (Hotel Mumbai) focuses on just the Taj Palace hotel which was one of the targets of the attack, but this movie focuses on more sites that were attacked (cuz 7 places were attacked simultaneously, which is why the chaos and panic from the law enforcement was there cuz they were spread so thin). Don't know about the documentary since I haven't seen it. But if picking the movie then I would probably choose this one cuz I have watched it and it was great.
