The unrest is not about some recreational pot smoking. It's about the deep entrenched marginalisation and ostracisation that people can face in Bollywood for not bowing or complying with the so called kings and high end families...also drug misuse that is rampant and then such actors being paid hefty fees to do their work and then becoming role models for the youth.. since everyone does it doesn't mean it needs to be ignored as an issue...but yes there's no need to spread any hate or abuse

What I say now might irritate many..but still I am going to say! As Per Me, drug intake is wrong. It is wrong not just for the individual but for the community. Drug consumption increases => drug supply increases => it is easier to get hands on => easier for children/teens to get hold of them => addiction to kids => hurts their focus and health => makes them immune to morals and ethics => more tuned to get into illegal activities to get their fix. Adults too => health issues => Financial issues => Illegal activities This money profitted by drug mafia more likely is used in funding of terror organisations.=> Theat to our country, our lives, our future. So, I don't understand which part of drugs is 'ok' as per the ppl saying bollywood is getting targetted? Yes it is a crime for general public as well as celebs to use drugs. Period. Rick, do you really feel becoz Irfan is a good actor and he said he smoked pot, it is ok? I reach at an NGO and I teach teens. I have a a teen at home. I definitely stand against the drug usage/ supply. If I seem uncool to you all, and you think I am an oldie, so be it ...I hope this investigation by NCB into bollywood goes well and I hope it covers genral public too

Not a great reaction n by that I mean, that Rick was in a 'mood' - looked like he didn't like anything that Abish was talking about and Korbin, poor fellow was trying to laugh for both of you dears. The only time there was any real response was the 'drug' angle regarding celebrities - Forgetting everything else, think about it this way - would you be ok if someone from your family or friends circle used drugs seriously and peddled them... Dont protect your celebrities if they are doing something wrong because that's gonna be the cause of their physical and personal ruin someday. India has a serious drug issue - people come to know about it only after one of their beloved family members get seriously and fatally affected and most nefarious organizations bank on these drugs to get their work n activities done. So even if an Irrfan ji(we love n miss you so much Sir) does heavy duty drugs (and don't lighten the abuse of drugs by calling it 'weed' or 'pot') , it is still wrong. The only place it isn't is the legal way in which Cancer patients use it prescribed by their doctors to mitigate pain because morphine or any other kinds of medical drugs don't do anything for them. Abish Matthew's son of Abish sessions are comparable to the Jimmy Fallon or Jimmy Kimmel kind of interview bits. So if you enjoy those, this should be right up your alley although most regional and contextual aspects would be known to only Indians. This was 'painful' to watch in a totally different way.
