In Mahabharat, Bheeshma is severely injured in the battlefield and is bed ridden afterwards. He wakes up after 3 days, from the bed (metaphorically made up of thousands of arrows that struck him) he witnessed his side losing. That’s why this film is called Bheeshma Parvam (The chapter of Bheeshma) even though Michael is on the winning side.

Not just that, Michael is like bheeshma, and a lot of the characters are inspired from Mahabharata characters. Some being amalgamations of multiple characters. Like, Sreenath bhasi's character could be Abhimanyu. Dileesh pothan , being shakuni. Shine Tom and Farhan Fazil being Duryodhana and Dushasana. The lady with the glasses being Gandhari, and her husband, Mammootty's brother being Dhritarashtrar. Soubin could be Yudhishthir+Arjun+Bheema. Finally, Rajan mon from Bombay being Karna ( in the evil side of the war but his intentions are justified, makes reputation on his own but gets killed in the war).

I am a proud malayali (currently living abroad), grown up enjoying Mammokka's and many other talented people's works, and when I watched this movie, I had the same reaction as korbin... So, I enjoyed and could relate to his reaction to that particular scene... Moreover, its nice to see our beloved, and such fine actors getting acknowledged for their sheer talent to a larger audience.

I see that you literally created your account yesterday. They watch critically acclaimed movies than commercially successful films. If they wanted just viewership, they could do just vijay films (because vijay is a far greater superstar than Mohanlal). They choose to watch good films from great actors (like Mammootty, Fahad faasil) and not terrible commercial guff from superstars (Vijay, rajni, Mohanlal). And yes, Mohanlal is more of a superstar now than an actor. Even Arjun Ashokan is a better actor than Mohanlal currently.
