No. You either know how to ranch with wildlife or you don’t. Predators are there for ecological reasons. Take out the coyotes and you will be overrun by rabbits and vermin, both which can carry diseases. The word herd means just that, herd your animals. We put dogs out with the herd which are very effective in chasing away predators.

With the drought for the past few years and having to buy hay I don’t think Mike has the resources for that kind of approach. Plus, if he takes out all the ones that are not scared of humans, only the shy ones that don’t pose a problem will be left.

If people complain about having a gun, then they are at the wrong site. Living on a ranch usually means protecting your livestock and property, and/or hunting game to stock the freezer. If they don't like it then go to a site that allows their crops and stock to be destroyed by predators (won't find any like that!). You have more tolerance than I do for people like that.
