I didn't know that after a dry break the non-breaking player can hit a solid into a stripe and gets stripes. I thought that you had to hit a stripe first to get stripes. Is this the case in APA, WPA, BCA, etc?

Yes, after the break it is open, vnea apa and bca you can use any combination on an open table, vnea and I believe apa you can use the 8 ball to pocket another ball on an open table as well

@@bradlittleton94 Thanks. It's amazing all the ruling bodies and all their different rules. It would be interesting to see an ehaustive list of all the "official" ruling bodies and how they differ on every conceivable situation in the various pool games. Keeping them straight in one's head must be very difficult for players who play in different sanctioned leagues and tournaments.

@@tomhiggins875 yeah all the different rules are crazy for leagues, I play in vnea and bca and everything is the same for rules

Pro Billiard TV: Please instruct your one announcer that his smacking is very distracting. Either remove him or initiate steps to reduce or eliminate his mouth noises. It is horrible to listen to!
