My mom didn’t have a negative reaction, but I did. Now that I am out I feel extremely depressed and sick both mentally and physically. I have fallen into a state of depression and am unable to go to school even though my mom tries to force me. She says that I am okay, but I know that if she knew how I felt she would let me stay home. I have tried to make her get professional help for me, but I feel like it won’t help and that it will. I just want this to be done with. I though I was depressed before I came out, but I was just at the beginning. I thought I was depressed at first because I lost my best friend, which I now realize is the love of my life. That is the reason, but now that I am out I know for sure that I am depressed, but my mom doesn’t think so. I want her to change her mind. I haven’t gone to school since I came out, which was two days ago. I don’t think I can handle the stress of school and depression. I will be forced to put on smiling face, try to not cry, and try to learn. It is the hardest thing I have ever gone through and I know no one with the same experience. I want someone to help, but I know no one.

Awww... U know I have a story too... I met someone at the new school I was in.. We we're friends at first but then suddenly.. I did an act that made him realise/know that I was gay lol but I wasn't vert shocked at first but then he told my BFF to get away from me.. like LoL he's my BFF and you want him to get away from me? It actually made me laugh at first but then I kinda got offended by it even tho I was still smiling after the act. But then we actually became close like really close friends... his 1 of my BFF's now.... which actually made me realize that... homophobic people can change... all we need are people that back us up(straight people; bc gay people that group together aren't convincing to them bc, for obvious reasons) my BFF is straight he knows I'm gay but he doesn't give a Fck and I love him for that.My Point is people can change all we need are people that love and support us not just people from the LGBT community but all the diff. Kinds of people... that's what's gonna give them a good shove to be convinced in my Experience at least.

I love this! As a lesbian especially I approve. I really liked the mom’s performance? Her reactions are very believable, and emotional when she needs to be. My one criticism could be tone; setting a palette for your film is really important for conveying emotion. The saturation and colour of a scene could really effect how it feels. Like if it’s a happy scene, you could go for something vibrant. Or if it’s a sad scene, you could make it almost completely grey, or even blue, if you feel like it! Pick the colours that match the feeling of the scene.

I went away for a week and my mum went through one of my old drawing books and found a coming out letter I never delivered. I was so mad when I found out what she had done, I definitely wasn't ready for it. Luckily, she didn't react as badly as what happened in this (very, very lucky, my heart goes out to everyone who has experienced this) but she acted like she didn't really believe me and I was really upset.

This film reminded me of the time I was kicked out when I told my parents I was bisexual and had a girlfriend. I'm only 17 years old and didn't know where to go, I had no other family that was close. I remember calling my girlfriend late at night, telling her I was homeless and had no where to go. She ask her dad if I could move in. Now, I'm healthy, happy and I get to live with my girlfriend and soon be celebrating our 1 year anniversary❤

Mar Dela Cruz hey i understand the feeling of wanting to correct this person’s grammatical errors but I don’t think it’s necessary. This person could be younger or dyslexic or just made a typo and it’s kind of a dick move to do so, my mum is very very smart and dyslexic so she can’t spell well, I have dyslexic friends and they’re very smart. Yes they did not like your short film and gave some criticism, but you shouldn’t really do that. However I did really like the film and you’re really talented so keep it up^^

Are you kidding? You think a parent should kick out and abandon their child that they have an obligation to raise and support because of something that the child can't control? Would you kick out your own child (if you have one, or imagine if you had one)? If so, you will have failed as a parent. That's horrible and traumatizing for the poor child that did absolutely nothing wrong! It's horrifying that you think that. Being gay is also one hundred percent natural, by the way. There are over 1,000 documented species of animals that have shown homosexual relationships and behavior. Yet humans are the only ones who are homophobic.
