You missed the disembodied head in the hallway with the licker. Apparently, the head was supposed to drop to the floor in front of Leon/Claire instead of just seeing the blood dripping down, they removed it because they thought it would be too morbid. So the head is just hanging there in the ceiling in suspended animation. Also Resident Evil: Zero was a great game and was pretty scary at times, I don't understand why there was so much hate. Maybe because it was on the Gamecube and not a lot of ppl liked the Gamecube... also for some unknown reason.

It's just barely cropped out of the camera's view. If you play _RE2_ on an emulator with widescreen support, you can see the head up there for yourself in normal gameplay.

I noticed in RE1 guard house there's a window that looks outside but there's really a hallway on the other side, that window can't possibly look outside, and how the west wing of the RPD doesn't ever rise in elevation even though the doors in the main hall are on different levels. I wonder if it'll be fixed in the remake? I've made to scale models of the mansion and RPD that's how I found these.

It has been fixed in RE2make, seriously there is a lot more wrong with the RPD in both RE2 and 3 that I could add here if you want? (done my own research.)

I think REUC re-used models from the Gamcube titles. If that's the case, I wonder if the neck texture relates to Rebecca's death by hunter scene, which was a decapitation in the original, but only a throat slash in the REmake.

Y'know, I was kinda surprised of there being no mention of William Birkin. Do you think you could please look into the character models for the transformations of him to see if there's anything unusual about how the models transform? Watching this show for as long as I have, I should know how these kinds of things work (of course this is a bit exaggerated), but I'm merely asking out of curiosity.

I think birkin just has separate character models for the transformations and it just gets switched out when the transformation event triggers.

Since the transformations happen in cutscenes, I'd guess that Cassidy is right and the game models are swapped out during transition and the actual transformations are just static animations.

TheGamingBaconator I had to go back and watch all that one on KZbin, but the initial transformation was a cutscene just like Birkin, which means probably the same thing was happening - a static animation to hot-swap the in-game models.

Shesez, as someone who used to try and explore as much as I could using woefully inadequate in-game cameras, just wanted to say I really appreciate your videos. I wanted to ask if you could do a video on Devil May Cry 1, as that was one of the games that I tried to explore the most. It seems to have a lot of secrets in the environment, but like RE, it has fixed camera angles. But yeah, I think it could make a great video.

The reason the on rails games have fleshed out 3d environments is because many were ripped straight from RE Outbreak, where entire scenarios were explorabe. Was hoping youd cover that game as some of the scenarios (i.e enemies like the Axe Man, Leech Man who bust down doors) have enemies and elements that cross loading screens which wouldve been neat to see. Plus maybe even see how the AI traverse maps by themselves. Could be a great unique video!

Seeing that typewriter up close reminded me of when I looked at the keyboards in 007. Even back then I've always been interested in the smaller details, and I expected it to just be a rectangle of rectangles to just sort of mimic a keyboard. Nope, they textured its button layout to look like a standard computer keyboard. I thought that was pretty cool.

In Umbrela Chronicles the maps werent remade in 3D, the original WERE in 3D and in really high resolution for their time, remember the backgrounds in RE 1,2 and 3 where PRE-rendered, meaning they were 3D but the rendering process was done before hand and so you were presented only with a fixed perspactive camera, but remember the original models from which said renders were made where already in 3D long ago. In the resident evil 2 beta you can see "unfinished" background, meaning the 3d models were not polished and so had white cubes instead of cars and less detailed models, like a scketch but of a 3D model.

They have always been 3D scenes that were rendered. I will admit back in the day when I first started playing the original games I thought all the renders, were hand drawn...however later on you discover they were all modeled in 3D. Capcom no longer have those assets archived (minus zero) so there is no way for any of us to know what distance buildings looked like, or how many more obscure references there was...which is why us fans have to speculate when we build things.

You do resident evil 2 but don't do outbreak series which has alot of unused content and places you can go to in the game or out of bounds also some random events of people dying or even the player dying when being pulled out of the room and get killed by the zombies or a death animation camera with the elephant.
