Heat cables are just not hot enough in the UK over winter unless the room is heated to over 20c . They also don't give out the same heat over the full length . Nice colony though hope they boom for you this year .

I had a messor barbarus colony and all the workers died I still have the queen I'm feeding her to keep her alive i didn't know much about ants back then so that's why they died but do you have any tips for what to do with the queen. A little bit ago she got an egg to larvae I was super excited because it was as far as she had gotten but then the next day she ate it I was very sad and don't know what to do now do you have any tips
