Salcombe really is a beautiful place. We spent many nights in the harbour and loved it. So glad Yewy has settled into sailing life. By now she's probably an ol'salt :)

@@wesailwillow we really like it in Salcombe. As two born and bred North Easterners, it’s not even a place we hear of. One of the things I love most about sailing is getting to new places like Salcombe. Compared to when she first moved on board, Yewy is a Rear Admiral now! She’s worked everything out now, has her routines and has pushed the boundaries sufficiently to know what she can get away with here. She loves spending all day every day with us; with neither of us travelling to work, she has attention all the time. Just the way she likes it 😂

Thank you! Couldn’t agree more! We’d never heard of the place so we had no expectations, though if we had, they’d have been exceeded! That steak was divine! It’s important to keep the crew well fed, so I love the challenge of cooking meals that you’d never expect to come out of a tiny galley kitchen 😊 some people write, some people run, some people paint - I cook! Next time we’re in your neck of the woods, I’d be happy to serve you up a feast!

It's taken me many episodes to find out Yewy's name, I've been spelling it so many different ways. She's the star of the channel. Next task is to find out what Hjem means.

@@StevenCopeland-co2xt 😂 she really is, and she knows it! We keep her paws on the ground with lots of duck fillets and thankfully we don’t see much diva behaviour as a result! ‘Hjem’ means ‘Home’ in our north eastern English dialect. It’s a link back to many years ago when our Scandinavian ancestors came to visit in their Longboats, leaving behind some of their language. Hjem also means home in several Scandinavian dialects too!
