Today my 2005 gmc diesel didn’t want to start. I had parked it face down on a steep hill with a quarter tank of fuel . I kept wondering why it wouldn’t start . in my case (6.5L turbo diesel 95) just have to open the valve in the fuel filter, and start the engine a couple of times, just make sure to add 3 gallons for better suction of the fuel bomb...

How much fuel did you guys add and were you pumping the primer button while the screw was out and the engine turning over? This info really helped me! Thanks A MILLION! Got my friend to start her up while I pumped and she started right up!

We added 5 gallons of fuel, did not turn the screw and just primed it while the other was turning the engine over.

Running out of fuel sucks . It sucks more when you say to your self it will last me 20-30 miles just because the truck says so . No more lol i stoped doing that . 1/4 tank and im already in the gastation filling up . A tip if you have the truck steep angle and it wont turn on because of low fuel , put it in neutral and get it somewhere even and it should be enought to crank it over and turn it on and take it to the nearest gastation asap !
