Don't you find it crazy how human beings have this reaction to scream "grenaaade!" when there is a nade nearby but that exclaim in itself is pretty fucking useless, unless you are facing the place where the nade drops or like facing a door or some direction in which you can run, as in when you hear "grenade!" your mind automatically switches to flight and you make a run for it - it is almost the same with artillery strikes, as one either has time to scream, or run / hide 😀

If you're on PC, play Namalsk on DayOne or ZERO servers. Check out the spawn towns and go south to the military bases. I guarantee you will see people.

"pro tip" record everything that you can, replay the moments of your death in slow-mo, watch other DayZ players, if possible get the biggest monitor available, play play play, until you reach a moment where great positioning is a thing of muscle memory and spotting someone becomes natural to a point where you can guess by few pixels that "hey, that is probably someone!"... DayZ and other such FPS shooters are great in that the more you play them, the more your gamestyle changes from "hmph I have 100hp, if I hide I can recover, my character can take a full auto and be fine" to split-second decisions, where you constantly think about the best angle to shoot someone all the while the best angle to hide as much of your own body as possible

May I ask you which cummunity servers you would recommend? I would like a server with good player interaction, with not so many mods and, above all, with dark nights like in vanilla Dayz. Because KramaKrew Day one etc. all have very bright nights. And from the looks of it, the servers you mostly play on have dark nights like the vanilla servers

Throughout the whole video I was mulling over why the title of the video is Out Of Luck... and then it hits me... I mean you... 😀 I will leave a stupid question here that no one will probably answer, I doubt that even you, Smoke: do you play DayZ highly caffeinated, or does your mind and your body became able to utilize adrenaline for fuel, so that you can quickly switch from relaxed state to combat ready? Because I can swear that when I have those 8 hours of sleep and caffeine in my veins, then I am able to shoot just about anyone and survive the unsurvivable in any FPS game, but when I am really tired, I still hear some "tactical thoughts" in my head but my multitasking abbilities and reflexes are just sub zero.
