Not to be pedantic but an actually derailment is one that changes the course of the adventure and goes against the DM's plans entirely. Because this actually sped up the process of them meeting the paladins and telling them about the water, and Dob suffered no consequences for Corazon's actions, It's not a derailment.

Watching this is a great example of why "Rule 0" (what the DM says, goes) is the only important rule of D&D. So what if tieflings are only resistant to fire not immune? So what if Merilwen can't cast while wild shaped. So what if prestidigitation can only clean a small fraction of Egbert at a time and has a casting time of 10 minutes each time. If everyone playing the game is having a good time and everyone watching the game is entertained what does it matter?

Prestidigitation only has a casting time of one action, so 6 seconds. It's pretty common to just say you're spamming it if you're trying to clean somebody up. (My High Elf cleric and our Warlock both have it. It's very useful after a swamp crawl.)

love Dob's and Merilwen's friendship, but also how they're all sarcastic with each other. Dob purposefully not understand Merilwen's bear charade, Prudence pretending she has a clingfilm spell, Corazon disguising himself as Dob in anger and throwing a brick, Merilwen telling Dob to clean off Egbert as soon as they enter. Basically I love Dob, I don't know if you can tell?

While Prudence is my favorite, though lets be honest we love them all, even I noticed how sweet it was of Dob to be the only group member to race to Merilwens rescue while being chased as the others just hid :D those two have a magical sibling like relationship in and out of character that always makes me smile and frankly a bit jelouse :D
