The movie is from 1998, but "Karens in the lobby" has a different meaning in the 2020s. I clicked on this video and (wrongly) had the same expectation as you and many others probably did.

Karen Sisco is really one of the greatest and most dimensional female characters in film, aided by a great script and Soderberg's direction, but that wouldn't mean anything without an actress perfect for the role and with once-in-a-lifetime chemistry with George Clooney, and Jennifer Lopez never gets the credit she deserves for bringing that to life.

@Max William Lauf She really should have. She is perfect in this role. Out of Sight is my all time favorite movie. So many great actors, Clooney, J.Lo, Viola Davis, Isiah Washington, Don Cheadle....J.Lo is perfection in this. I love seeing her in roles like this. Suits her so well.
